A FUN FOLD BIRTHDAY CARD

Today’s card features the soon to be released SIMPLE BIRTHDAY STAMP SET.

I used it to create a pull out card.

I started with a piece of Azure Afternoon cardstock measuring 5 3/4″x 4 1/8″.

Then I added a panel of Bloom Impressions 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper. This DSP is FREE during Sale-a-bration (January 7th – February 28th, 2025).

The ‘pull out’ panel was made using a 12″x 2 7/8″ piece of Basic Thick White cardstock, scored at 4″ and 8″.

I adhered a 4 3/4″x 3 1/4″ piece of Melon Mambo card and a 4 5/8″x 3 1/8″ piece of Azure Afternoon card to the front of the pull out panel.

Then I stamped and heat embossed the birthday greeting onto a 4 1/2″x 2 7/8″ piece of the DSP before adhering it to the front of the pull out panel.

It was fun using these stand alone stamp sets this week. When I return from our Christmas celebrations I will have some new bundles and suite collections to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

TIME FOR #179 COLOURinkSPIRATION CHALLENGE

I am always amazed by the colour combinations each Colour INKsiration Challenge throws at us … and, they are usually a combination that I would not have thought to use.

For this challenge I decided to use one of the upcoming product bundles from the January – April Mini Catalogue … EVERYDAY ARCHES.

One of the benefits of joining Stampin’ Up! is that you have the opportunity to see new catalogies and products before they go live to customers. During a preorded period, you will be able to buy new products and create with them before customers … and, as a ‘demonstrator’, you will enjoy a minimum 20% discount on most products.

Here is the project I created for this challenge.

I die cut the five challenge colours using the five smallest arch shaped dies. Then I layered and adhered them together.

Using the second largest arch die, I cut a Basic White arch and stamped the greeting in Shaded Spruce.

The layered, coloured arches were then added to the white arch using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I created the Shaded Spruce ‘wreath’ by pulling up the threads on one side of the ribbon. When it was very tightly pulled up, I cut the ribbon on the other end and pulled the threds up from that end. Then I tied the threads together very tightly to form the wreath.

Then I adhered the wreath to the card front using Multipurpose Glue.

The greeting was stamped on the card insert and a die cut Shaded Spruce bow was adhered to the back of the envelope.

When I showed this card to my youngest daughter, she asked me to recreate it as a Christmas card … and, here is what I made for her.

I am looking forward to using this bundle to create many more projects.

Until my next project, happy stamping.

#SHARESUNSHINE

So – I’ve been missing for a few days but for a very, very good reason.

We have just had an amazing swivel wall bed with shelves and a desk installed, in our second bedroom!

When Rob and I moved from Bundaberg to Kangaroo Point, we downsized from a large house to a two bedroom apartment. And, I lost my craft room.

So for the last year, I have been crafting on the dining table and have had all my supplies filling cupboards.

Now, I have a permanent place to create and store my Stampin’ Up!® supplies … and have freed up some cupboard space.

It is CLEI queen bed LGM01 and it is brilliant!

This isn’t our apartment but it’s a great photo showing you how the unit swivels around – desk by day and bed, for guests, by night. Everything stays on the shelves! And, there is so much space on the shelves.

That large piece of white, in the front, is the desk when it is collapsed.

We chose all white, just like this one.

So, I have been setting up my new crafting space.

I also bought myself a new IKEA Kallax 12 cube book case. Armed with my trusty screwdrivers, I managed to assemble it, and some sets of drawers and cupboard inserts, all by myself!

WOOHOO, feeling clever.

I’ll post a ‘finished’ photo once I’ve put everything where I want it to go.

I did manage to squeeze in one project since my last post – a gift box, using some of the soon to be released 2020-2021 ANNUAL CATALOGUE new products.

The sunflowers in the FLOWERS FOR EVERY SEASON 6″X 6″ DSP are very cheerful; as is the BUMBLEBEE card stock – one of the five new 2020-2022 IN COLOURS.

I love the new JUST JADE GINGHAM RIBBON!

The sentiment is from the LOVELY YOU CLING STAMP SET and it was perfect for the goodies inside the gift box.

I like the way the JAR PUNCH can be used to make a gift tag.

At the moment, I don’t have anyone who needs cheering up.

If you live in Australia, and you know someone who could use a little cheering up, contact me and I will send it to you to give to them, as an almost RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS!

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping!

These are the products i used to make this gift box. If you live in Australia, you can order any of them through me.
