FUNFOLD FRIDAY

Today’s Funfold card is a Pop Up Diorama Card. This is the first time that I have made this type of card and I made two – I hope that you like them.

These are the last projects using the Hues of Happiness Collection for this week.

The first card features a Melon Mambo card base and a piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper.

The Melon Mambo frame is from the Fabulous Frames Dies set. I stamped the greeting, from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set, onto a Basic White panel before wrapping the bow around it. The White Glittered Organdy Ribbon was coloured using the Dark Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blend. Then Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the back of the panel and it was placed, at an angle, over the frame.

A few Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels were colouredwith Stampin’ Blends and attached to the card front.

When the card is opened the pop up diarama is revealed.

Inside the card, I added several flowers that were die cut from the DSP.

I stamped a flower onto a piece of Basic White cardstock and adhered it inside the card. The same flower was stamped on the front of the envelope.

The depth of the diarama card is 1/2″.

The second card was created in the same way, using Night of Navy as an alternative colour.

Which card do you prefer – Melon Mambo or Night of Navy?

Tomorrow I will begin a new week of projects with a new bundle of products.

Until then, happy stamping.

3D THURSDAY GIFT BOX

For my 3D project today I decided to use the new Cracker & Treat Box Dies in a different way.

CRACKER & TREAT BOX DIES

I cut one cracker box in Night of Navy A4 cardstock and one from a piece of the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. Then I cut away one triangular section from each.

The next step was to use Stampin’ Seal+ to create the top and bottom halves of the cracker gift box.

I used white baker’s twine, from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack, to draw in the ends of the cracker and tie a bow.

The diamond shapes that were cut away when the cracker was cut. I adhered them to the Night of Navy cracker bottom.

The greeting, from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set, was stamped and trimmed before being threaded on the baker’s twine.

The DSP cracker top slides over the Night of Navy cracker bottom.

This cracker gift box holds a Clear Wink of Stella.

This would make a great team gift. What do you think?

I think that I will make my bonbons this way for Christmas this year.

Tomorrow I will have a funfold card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #GDP344

I missed last week’s #GDP343 Challenge and am so pleased to be back this week enjoying the challenge.

This week it is a CASEing a card challenge.

I decided to CASE the general layout from Charlet’s card.

The Hues of Happiness Suite is my focus this week so I have used these products for this project.

I selected this piece of Pool Party through to Night of Navy Designer Series Paper from the Hues of Happiness DSP pack to cut the largest shape from the Scalloped Contours Dies.

A length of Pool Party 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon was threaded through two of the scallop semi-circles and tied in a bow. Then I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of this panel and popped it up on the Basic White card base.

The three flowers were stamped using Versamark and then heat embossed with white embossing powder before I cut them with the Blossoming Happiness Dies.

I used one Mini Glue Dot to attach each flower to the front of the card.

Just like Charlett’s card, I stamped a sentiment three times and used white embossing powder on a Night of Navy background. Each birthday greeting was cut into three strips and added to the card front.

I enjoy taking part in the GDP Challenges because it always stretches me creatively – the GDP team is so creative!

Later today I will have a Colour INKspiration project to share.

Until then, happy stamping.
