THURSDAY MEANS THAT IT’S TIME FOR A 3D PROJECT

I decided to make a gift box to hold three coffee satchets. This would be a great little gift for a work colleague.

This will probably be a quick post today.

The box measures 7″ x 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ and was made using Early Espresso cardstock.

After cutting, scoring and trimming the box, I cut four pieces of this great coffee bean design DSP into strips that were 6 7/8″ x 1 7/8″. Then these panels were adhered in place.

Using Stampin’ Seal+ to construct the gift box.

I glued three die cut coffee cups to the front of the box.

For the lid, I cut a large square Perennial Postage Die in Early Espresso and a smaller one in in the same coffee bean DSP. I layered and adhered them together.

I looped a length of Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon under a die cut coffee cup. Then I popped some dimensionals under the cup and added them to the postage shapes.

Then I glued these layers to the top of the box lid.

The Nescafe sachets fit perfectly inside the gift box.

The greeting was stamped using Lost Lagoon and cut using the smaller square Perennial Postage Dies.

I used dimensionals to pop it up on the front of the box.

Finally, I added some Lost LAgoon Tinsel Gems to the top and front of the box.

Tomorrow I will share my last project using the A Little Latte Suite Collection.

Until then, happy stamping.

THURSDAY MEANS THAT IT’S TIME FOR A 3D PROJECT

Yes, the title of this post says it all! Today, I have a 3D project to share with you.

What’s even better is that you don’t need to measure and score your own gift box. I am using a wonderful new packaging product that comes cut, scored and with adhesive ready for you to decorate and assemble.

And, that is exactly what I have done for today’s project.

Introducing the Square Pillow Boxes. They come in a pack of 10 – product number 162559 and $14AUD.

For my project, I started by stamping the large double rose image, using Pebble Path ink, all over the box.

Then I started colouring most of the stamped images using Calypso Coral and Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends.

After I had finished colouring, I added a small strip of Stampin’ Seal+ onto the back of the box. This is where I secured a length of Calypso Coral Braied Linen Trim. I brought the ends of the ribbon together, ties a bow and trimmed the ends.

The greeting was stamped, trimmed and secured to the top of the box with dimensionals.

The final touch was to add some small Calypso Coral Iridescent Pastel Gems to the box.

This would make a perfect gift box for some jewellery or other small treat.

Tomorrow is Friday and I have a Fun Fold card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

TIME FOR A TOOTSIE ROLL & 3D THURSDAY

We have an amazing ‘little’ grocery store close to us that sells a fantastic variety of products. When I recently spotted a Tootsie Roll, I knew that I needed to buy it and create a gift box for it.

I continued to feature some of the colours and products from the Lovely in Linen Suite Collection.

If you have easy access to Tootsie Rolls, these are the measurements used to make this box.

I started with a piece of Soft Succulent cardstock measuring 9-1/2″x 4-1/2″.

Along the 4-1/2″ side, I scored the card at 1/2″, 1-1/2″, 2-1/2′ and 3-1/2″.

Along the 9-1/2″ length, I scored at 1’2″, 1-1/2″, 8″ and 9″.

Then I used my Bone Folder to burnisg these score lines crisply.

I have not yet created an instruction sheet for this project. For those of you with lots of gift box experience – I trimmed the 1-1/2″ ends of the goft box to create a box end and tuck in flap.

For each of the gift box sides, I cut pieces of Designer Series Paper to complete each of the four sides.

I used some Stampin’ Seal+ to attach a length of Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon to the back of the box. Then I was able to wrap a length of the ribbon around the box.

After securing the ‘cheers’ sentiment panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I was able to tie the ribbon into a bow.

When creating a 3D gift box, you don’t always need a huge variety of products.

Tomorrow I have a Fun Fold card to share with you.

Until the, happy stamping.
