Hello – welcome! Thank you for popping by. I hope that you like what I’m sharing today.
This project is a CASE – now, I’ve seen some different explanations for this acronym – Copy and Share Everything – Copy and Selectively Edit, and I am sure there are more.
I am sharing this card in this week’s Freshly Brewed Projects Blog Hop because the theme is SALE-A-BRATION PAPERS and this project definitely uses them. Because the first project is a CASE, I will add one of my own designs below.
The original project was made specifically for Erica McCarty Cerwin (Pink Buckaroo). The flowers and AMAZING card are from Sara Douglas and Shelli Gardner, from Stampin’ Up!® to congratulate her on her amazing 1 000 000 Sales Achievement.
I spent some time looking at the photos Erica shared on her Facebook page and decided to CASE it for my daughter’s birthday.
It was important to me not to copy it exactly so I did some ‘selective editing’ by reversing some of the DSP and floral positioning. I also changed up the colours a little. I didn’t have the dimensions of the original, so I went with my own.
The FLOWER & FIELD DESIGNER SERIES PAPER is so versatile. It coordiantes with 13 colours from the Stampin’ Up! There are so many possibilities. And, it also coordinates with one of the 2021 JANUARY -JUNE MINI CATALOGUE – the IN BLOOM BUNDLE – IN BLOOM STAMP SET and PIERCED BLOOMS DIES
This is the envelope the card is placed in and the belly band slides off easily.
As well as the card, you could slide a gift voucher or cash inside the envelope.
You might think that 13 colours would clash but I think they work together vibrantly.
The details in this project are amazing. I liked the little pieced of SQUARE VELLUM DOILIES that pop out from behind the sentiment on the belly band. This is repeated inside the card. And, the vellum cut using one of scalloped rectangle for the STITCHED SO SWEETLY DIES. And, lots and lots of ribbon and big bows in BUMBLEBEE 1/4″ RIBBON.
The sentiments in the stamp set suit a variety of occasions. I love the die that can be used to cut around the greetings, even the ‘Happy Birthday’. I used my Bumblebee Stampin’ Write Marker™ to colour each of the words separately so that it would fit inside the die.
I stamped some of the flower images inside the card using Bumblebee and the stamping off technique to give a softer tone. Much the card interior is switched around to make sure it wasn’t an exact copy of Erica’s very special card.
The PIERCED BLOOMS DIES are going to be so much fun to play with! There are 25 in the collection.
Here is my own project bundle featuring the same SALE-A-BRATION DESIGNER SERIES PAPER – FLOWER & FIELD DSP.
For this first project I used one of the LOVE YOU ALWAYS TREAT BOXES from the LOVE YOU ALWAYS SUITE.
I chose one of the patterns from the FLOWER & FIELD DSP and cut a piece that was 4-1/8″x 8″ then used my favourite adhesive, Tombow Multipurpose Glue, to adhere it to outer casing of the treat box.
The sentiment, from the IN BLOOM STAMP SET, was stamped in Balmy Blue and cut using the coordinating shape from the PIERCED BLOOMS DIES.
Then I applied some Tear and Tape around the box so that I could position the BUMBLEBEE GINGHAM RIBBON around the box and then ties a gorgeous bow.
The PIERCED BLOOM flower I created finished the treat box perfectly.
Then, I made a card to coordinate with this gift box.
I don’t use the BASIC WHITE NOTE CARDS & ENVELOPES as much as I should, so I decided to use them for this, and the next, card.
The same piece of DSP was used for this card – in fact, both sides of the paper, and a piece of Granny Apple Green card stock. The STITCHED SO SWEETLY DIES allowed me to create the layers for this card.
I used the same dies and ribbon to create this card.
This next card has a different sentiment. I used the same stamp set and dies yet achieved a very different look.
And, if you know me – I love using different angles.
The only thing that I could have added would be some of the 2020 – 2021 IN COLOUR ENAMEL DOTS or PEARL BASIC JEWELS. In the end, I didn’t really want any bling on these projects.
I loved the card I made for my daughter, CASEing Erica’s card and I am also very pleased with these three other projects.
