SENDING THANKS TO MY CUSTOMERS

Hello again to those of you who have popped by for another peek at my crafting progress. If you are new, welcome.

It is time for another blog hop. I am really enjoying taking part in different blog hops and challenges. It is a great way to ensure that I am using my Stampin’ Up!® products and posting projects regularly. I hope that you like today’s.

May be an image of one or more people and text that says 'KYLIE BERTUCCI'S Monthly International' Blog HIGHLIGHTS'

The ongoing theme for this blog hop is THANK YOU. I really like this theme, while it might seem like the idea of thanking someone is unfashionable, it is alive and well and needs to be modelled for others. If I send someone a thank you card, that is a prompt for them to remember to thank others for what they appreciate.

This is the card I made for the April 2021 Blog Highlights – an image of my card is posted on Kylie’s gallery.

This gallery features everyone’s submissions and gives you the opportunity to vote for up to 5 of your favourite cards. The top 10 vote winners then get to participate in an International Blog Hop. Would you consider taking a moment and voting for my card? I’d really appreciate it!

How to do Voting?
Once you click on the link below you can see the photos. Please look for my gorgeous Dandy Laser Cut dragonflies card (#) and click on the little heart sign on the right-hand top side of my photo. Once you’ve touched the little clear heart it will turn to Red Color and that is the notification that you voted. You can vote for up to five, but it’s not required, you can also just vote for one. Thanks so much!

For this project I wanted to use some of the lovely paper from the SAND & SEA DESIGNER SERIES PAPER, the DANDY LASER-CUT PAPER (the dragonfly piece) and the shimmery PEARLESCENT SPECIALTY PAPER..

I used my BLENDING BRUSHES to colour the dragonfly DANDY LASER-CUT panel. The colours I used were Flirty Flamingo and Seaside Spray. As soon as this panel was dry I painted it using FROST WHITE SHIMMER PAINT. The photos don’t show the full effect of the blending brush colouring.

I cut a 1″ strip of PEARLESCENT SPECIALY PAPER and placed 1″ strips of FOAM ADHESIVE SHEETS onto one side. Then I used my MINI STAMPIN’ CUT & EMBOSS MACHINE and dies from the PLAYFUL ALPHABET DIES to cut the letters for this “thank you”.

For the card insert and envelope front I used the space left behind from the single dragonfly, that I coloured and attached across the N and K. I positioned this ‘template’ over the bottom right hand side of the card insert and the same posiotn on the envelope and then coloured it using Flirty Flamingo and Seaside Spray.

if you like the project I have shared today, please make sure you click on the link below and vote for me.

TIME FOR A GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT COLOUR CHALLENGE

Hello and thank you being here. I am so pleased that you are popping by to see what my latest project is.

As I mentioned recently, my new Sunday posts will be a project from the Global Design Project’s weekly challenges.

Global Design Project #285 is a colour challenge. The colours are So Saffron, Seaside Spray and Sahara Sand. Well, it wasn’t until after I finished my project I realised that I used Soft Sea Foam instead of Seaside Spray – I wrote down the colours incorrectly. I wish that I had looked at all the samples and I may have autocorrected myself when I started blending the soft green. Anyway, I won’t be adding it to the challenge but still like the end result.

I made two projects – a card and a gift box.

The Sahara Sand card base has an embossed layer adhered to the front. I used the Dandelions 3D Embossing Folder to add texture that coordinates with the stamp set and dies that I chose.

The next step was to use Blending Brushes to colour a piece of the Dandy Laser Cut Paper. The blended the So Saffron front the top down and the Soft Sea Foam from the bottom up. Then I stamped the dandelion image, from the Garden Wishes Stamp Set, in Sahara Sand onto the same coloured card stock. Using Saddle Brown StazOn ink I stamped the same image onto white vellum. After the images were cut using the Dandy Wishes Dies, I coloured the card stock piece using the Blending Brushes again.

The vellum piece was adhered to the laser cut piece. Then I cut four lengths of Linen Thread and threaded it through the sides and tied it at the front. Then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the other dandelion die cut and popped it over the linen thread.

I stamped the greeting and then cut it using one of the, soon to be retired, Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I cut it a second time making it thinner.

The last touch was to add a few Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

Then I made a gift box using one of the Love You Always Treat Boxes. I covered it with some Soft Sea Foam 6″x 6″ DSP from the Subtles collection. I used one of the Dandy Laser Cut Paper round shapes and coloured it with my So Saffron Blending Brush, before adhering it to the top of the box. Then I cut lots of dandelions and overlaid them on top of each other and held them in place using Mini Glue Dots. Before securing it over the So Saffrom circle, I tied some Linen Thread just below the head of the dandelion.

Well, I made not have finished with a project to add to the #GDP285, but I do have a card and matching gift box that I am really happy with. Here’s hoping that I get it right next week.

Keeping it real – happy stamping.
