MY NEW CRAFTING SPACE

When we moved from Bargara to Kangaroo Point, I had to farewell my purpose built craft room.

It took a little while to figure how I was going to have a new crafting space but I had some ideas.

Several years ago I had seen an advertisement, in our Sunday newspaper, for a shop in Brisbane called The Comfort Shop.

They stock clever Italian wall beds made by Clei.

We ordered the LGM02 when it was on sale (thank goodness for 25% discount).

This is what my space looks like –

There is lots of shelf space – I even let Rob have a shelf for his books (there are still books in storage). There is a full shelf under the desk level and two partial shelves on the lower level.

I now have great lights for filming and photography. They fold away easily and have a carry bag – so, when we have guests I will definitely put them away.

Do you like our polished concrete ceilings? I love them.

The table folds down and then I can turn the bookcase around to expose the bed. This video shows you how it works.

I also have a Kallax unit that I assembled. It has some Ikea inserts and I have just ordered inserts from Colcraft for paper storage. Hopefully, they will be here by the end of August.

And that’s the view from this room.

The two restaurant table number stands are used to hold up a length of textured wallpaper, to create an endless background, for taking photos. My father was a professional photographer and I learned about endless backgrounds at a young age.

I’m storing my card stock scraps in the drawers and extra supplies in the cupboards. There’s still a little organising to do, but the space is coming together well.

I’m a happy stamper now!

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.
