MY LATE #CI121 COLOUR INKSPIRATION PROJECT

I had hoped not to be late with any of the Colour INKspiration projects but in the lead up to the new catalogue launch I definitely got behind with a few of my crafting goals. Back on track from today!

The image that inspires this colour palette is so dramatic.

May be an image of cloud and text that says 'Pale Papaya COLOUR SPIRATION CHALLENGES Pumpkin Pie Poppy Parade Gorgeous Grape Basic Black #121'

I am featuring the Happiness Abounds Bundle this week.

HAPPINESS ABOUNDS BUNDLE (ENGLISH)

This card started with me stamping the four floral images using Versamark and black embossing powder on Shimmery White cardstock.

After heat embossing the powder, the flowers were ‘water’ coloured using the colour refills and Clear Wink of Stella. A drop or two of each of the four colours were dropped on a large acrylic block. Then I squeezed out some of the glitter liquid from the brush and made a light colour mix and painted each of the flowers. Each colour was then made slightly darker and I was able to add depth to each flower. Then the flowers were cut using the coordinating Blossoming Happiness Dies.

The new Cascading Ruffles 3D Embossing Folder was perfect for the layer I added to the Basic Black card base.

The next step was to position the flowers to create a gorgeous bouquet. Some were attached directly to the embossed layer while others were popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The birthday greeting was heat embossed with white embossing powder. Both the black and white embossing powders are from the Basics Stampin’ Emboss™ Powders pack.

The torn spiral paper, at the top and bottom of the greeting layer, is made using one of the dies from the Blossoming Happiness Dies.

Finally I added some Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front and a triple bow of White Glittered Organdy Ribbon.

The end result is a very glittery card.

Later today, I will have my weekend offering of #simplestamping and Step It Up to share.

Until then, happy stamping.

COLOUR INKSPIRATION #114 – OCEANFRONT & PARADISE PALMS

So 2022 is here and happening. This is our first Colour INKspiration for the new year for you to enjoy.

When I first saw the fresh seaside inspired colour combination I immediately knew the fabulous 2022 January – June Mini Catalogue products I would use. The image is a view of Mooloolaba Beach. I love living in the Sunshine State!

I definitley wanted to create a beach scene using the featured colours. To do this, I used the NEW Oceanfront Stamp Set and the Paradise Palms Bundle.

I love the #simplestamping way to use the Oceanfront Stamp Set. Starting with a layer of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the Coastal Cabana water image and then stamped the Balmy Blue sky image. Then I stamped the Sahara Sand beach image.

The seagrasses were stamped using Granny Apple Green and Sahara Sand.

I took a 5-5/8″x 4-1/8″ Pacific Point cardstock and cut out a large window, using the Stitched Rectangles dies. This frame was then embossed using the splatter folder from the Strips & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders. The frame was embossed twice because it was wider than the embossing folder.

The Foam Adhesive Strips were perfect for lifting the embossed Pacific Point frame above the stamped beach scene.

The image that has INKspired this #114 challenge features the gorgeous pandanus tree. Without a pandanus palm image I opted for the new Paradise Palm Bundle.

I stamped the palm tree trunk in Sahara Sand and cut it using the coordinating die from the Palms Dies. Then I stamped the palm fronds image three times and cut it using the coordinating die from the same set.

The tree trunk was adhered directly on to the embossed card frame. The three die cut tree fronds were adhered to the top of the trunk using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment onto a small piece of Basic White cardstock before cutting it using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. After the first cut, I repositioned the die to achieve this smaller stitched rectangle piece.

I also used some of the new Embellishments from the 2022 January – June Mini Catalogue. Although these embellishments are not a ‘perfect’ colout match, they still work well on this project. I used the absolutley stunning Pebbles Enamel Shapes and the Faux Sea Glass Shapes as a feature on this card.

I think they coordinate perfectly.

Living in Australia means that we are still enjoying all the wonderful features of Summer. If you are close to the coast, you may be enjoyingan amzing vista like this one.
