COLOUR CHALLENGE

A little while ago, I shared a card that I made for a colour challenge.

I find it’s a great way to work with different colour combinations – especially if they are not your ‘go to’ colours.

This was the Inkspiration for CI#80. Not my usual palette, but so pretty!

So this is my ‘entry’.

I thought the TODAY’S TILES STAMP SET was an interesting way to showcase the colours without choosing a floral stamp and colouring.

And the TASTEFUL TEXTILE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER is becoming one of my favourites!

I stamped several times using different colour combinations, then cut strips before popping each strip up onto dimensionals. The three Purple Posy tiles were achieved by using my Stampin’ Write Marker™.

I’m looking forward to inking up some of my ink spots in different colours to make some more cards.

Let me know what you think?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

TIME TO DO SOME CHALLENGES!

I have joined in a few challenges over the last year or so. They are fun and encourage me to go beyond my comfort zone.

Earlier this month I saw the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge on Facebook and decided to challenge myself again.

This is such an interesting colour combination – and not one that I would have put together; hence the ‘out of comfort zone’ challenge.

I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to use the IN GOOD TASTE SUITE, that I ordered during pre-order.

Now if you don’t know what a pre-order is, it is one of the amazing benefits of being a Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator is that you get to see new catalogues a month before they go live to customers and you can order from a selection of the new products before the catalogue goes live.

The ribbon is from the FOREVER GREENERY SUITE and it ruches beautifully.

The feathers are fussy cut and have some Wink of Stella added for a little ‘bling’.

The IN GOOD TASTE DSP is so gorgeous … so many amazing textures.

The floral elements were made using the MANY LAYERED BLOSSOMS DIE and layered.

What do you think of the colour scheme?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

These are the products I used to make this project. If you live in Australia, you can order any of these products through me.

COLOUR INKSPIRATION CHALLENGE #75

I haven’t done many challenges before but I decided to have a go at this one – Colour INKspiration #75 – Daffodil Delight, Call Me Clover, Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo and Mango Melody!

These are five colours that I would not immediately choose for a project – so this challenge has stretched me.

'Welcome to our 75th Colour INKspiration Challenge!

Today's beautiful picture that has inspired our colour palette was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew member, Cathy Pinchbeck.

Don't you just love this combination of Daffodil Delight, Call Me Clover, Gorgeous Grape, Melon Mambo and Mango Melody!

As well as the chosen colours above you may also add Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Black and Metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' from the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette as listed above please feel free to add the closest Stampin' Up!® substitute - such as Crushed Curry instead of Daffodil Delight - I am sure you get the idea!

We hope you can participate in this round and look forward to seeing some wonderful projects using the colour palette. Please ensure your project is NEW and created specifically for this challenge.

CI#75 will run for almost TWO weeks and will end at 7pm (AEST) on Monday 20th April.

Just a reminder to upload your picture straight to the discussion wall and NOT in an album please.

Enjoy creating with this stunning colour palette.

Leonie Stuart

(On behalf of the Colour INKspiration Crew)'

I worked on two projects today –

I used the Ornate Style and Peaceful Moments stamp sets and Ornate Frames Dies.

I stamped the floral image several times and then die cut it for the top and bottom trimmed frames. The sentiment was stamped before stamping and colouring the florals again.

A few rhinestones to finish the sentiment layer.

The second card is more geometric in style but still uses the prescribed colours, which look bold against the Basic Black background. I also used the Ornate Thanks stamp set.

I think I used the Ornate Gardens products quite differently and am very pleased with the results.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.
