Colour INKspiration #153 – FRAMED FLORET BUNDLE

Welcome to another Colour INKspiration Challenge.

This inspiration picture which has inspired our colour palette was chosen by Crew Member, Vivki Boucher.

I decided to break out the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks and my Small Blending Brushes for this project.

I used some strips of Masking Paper to secure the mask to the Basic White layer and left only the three centre spaces open. The colours were blended in the same order as the colours of the books in the inspiration image.

The next step was to attach a length of Moody Mauve Textured Ribbon to the white layer.

Next, I stamped and die cut several of the flowers, buds and leaves, before colouring them with Stampin’ Blends.

When I had finished colouring the floral elements, I attached them to the card front using Mini Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped and then I used one of the label dies from the Autumn Leaves Dies set. It was cut twice to make it narrower.

The finishing touches included stamping the larger flower image on the card insert and envelope. Some Moody Mauve 2023-2025 In Colour Dots added that little bit of bling.

Now it’s time to start thinking of my card for Colour INKspiration #154.

Until then, happy stamping.

ONE MORE PROJECT FOR TODAY

The last project for today is my Colour INKspiration contribution for this challenge – CI#120.

May be an image of flower, body of water and text that says '#120 Polished Pink Soft Sea Foam Just Jade Misty Moonlight / COLOUR NKSPIRATION CHALLENGES'

The Sun Prints Suite cordinated beautifully with these colours, as you can see.

I cut a piece of Soft Sea Foam and used the same colour ink to stamp off the fern image across it. The panel was then attached it to the Basic White card base.

I cut two of the wreath layers in White Vellum using the Natural Prints Dies. The first wreath was attached the stamped layer using Mini Glue Dots before rotating the second wreath and securing it with glue dots also.

The Just Jade and Soft Sea Foam leaves and branches were cut and positioned around the wreah.

The flowers were stamped, coloured and fussy cut. After ‘scrunching’ the flowers to add texture and shape, they were added to the wreath also.

I took a length of Sweet Sorbet Metallic Woven Ribbon to create another #tammybow. A Mini Stampin’ Dimensional was used to secure it in place.

The sentiment wasstamped and I used this unique banner die to cut it out. Then I coloured three Polished Dots with the Dark Misty Moonlight Stampin’ Blends pen.

Several more Polished Dots were then placed in the centre of the flowers.

Make sure you head over to Facebook and check out the projects the Colour INKspiration team have created and join us in the challenge.

Tomorrow is 3D Thursday and I have a cute little box to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

SWEET FRIEND

Hello and thanks for popping by to see today’s project.

This card was made for the Colour INKspiration challenge. The image is gorgeous and the colours a fascinating combination.

May be an image of ocean and text that says '#101 COLOUR /SPRATIN CHALLENGES Pale Papaya Fresh Freesia Highland Heather Balmy Blue Evening Evergreen'

I decided that I would try my hand at some alcohol colouring – I used the Stampin’ Blends to colour patches onto White Vellum and then spritzed isopropyl alcohol to move and blend the colours. I made a couple of samples so that I could choose which pieces yo use.

As I have not added the Picture This Dies to my collection yet, I opted to make my own version using the Layering Circles Dies. These gave me some windows for my coloured vellum to peek through. Then I cut the curved border piece, following the curved edge where the ink pooled.

Then I stamped the scales and cupcakes from the Measure of Love Stamp Set onto Shimmery White cardstock using Jet Black StazOn ink. This is definitely a colouring technique card. I used the five colours, from the #CI101 challenge, and a Water Painter to colour the scales and cakes. Taking my trusty paper snips I fussy cut images and used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop them up on the card front.

The Sweet Friend greeting was stamped three times and trimmed before being added to the front also. The last element added to the front of the card were the 2021-2023 In Colour Jewels. The card insert and envelope were stamped with the cup cakes.

I’m quite happy with the way this card turned out, especially the coloured vellum pieces. Who would be the ‘sweet friend’ you would give this card to?

I wonder what the #CI102 colour combination will be?

Happy stamping.
