NO SNOW HERE!

While it is still Spring in Australia, it is feeling more and more like Summer every day.

So it was refreshing to make a card for the holiday season using some of the FEELS LIKE FROST DSP. At least I can look at the paper and think cool thoughts.

We did enjoy some snow and cold weather last year when we were in Moscow, St Petersburg and Helsinki. I wish I had gum boots (or wellingtons) to traipse around in the snow and sludge.

The boots and umbrella, from the UNDER MY UMBRELLA STAMP SET, were fussy cut. Who wouldn’t love a shiny pair of polka dot silver boots and matching umbrella.

The photographic image, on this DSP, beautifully captures this wintery scene. I particularly like the bokeh light effects.

I used the DSP offcuts to trim the envelope and card insert.

A little SILVER METALLIC EDGE RIBBON wrapped around the DSP and a stamped and die cut greeting popped up over the ribbon finishes this quick and easy card.

Who would you send it to?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

These are the products I used to make this card. If you live in Australia, you can order any of them through me.

A CURVY CHRISTMAS CHOCOLATE BOX

The last project I made, during my Facebook Live on Wednesday, was a gift box.

I found a Santa KitKat in my grocery store last week and I knew that I wanted to make a gift box to present it.

My favourite stamp from this bundle is the curvy ‘star banner’ from the CURVY CHRISTMAS STAMP SET.

For this project, I used my STAMPARTUS and the HINGE STEP TECHNIQUE to stamp the image onto the gift box cardstock. POPPY PARADE is such a great colour for Christmas projects.

The gift box dimensions are – 4.5″ x 1.75″ x .75″ – a long and thin gift box.

Lift the lid and another stamped image is revealed.

The gift tag was stamped and then punched using the ESSENTIAL TAG PUNCH. I also used the LABEL ME FANCY PUNCH to punch out the small circle to thread the ribbon through.

The Poppy Parade gold edged ribbon is from the ALL THE TRIMMINGS RIBBON COMBO PACK.

I also added some GILDED GEMS to the tag before popping it up with some dimensionals onto the front of the box.

I will be making some more gift boxes, like this, as I prepare for a new craft market that is starting on the first weekend of November. They would be a great, small gift for a teacher or a Secret Santa gift.

Who would you like to be a Secret Santa for?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

QUITE CURVY VARIETY BUNDLE

Yesterday I shared an Autumn/Fall inspired card using this bundle. So, today, my Facebook Live featured it – I made three projects and will share them over the next few posts.

This bundle is only available for demonstrators at the moment, one of many brilliant benefits of joining Stampin’ Up!®.

It will be available to customers between 3 November 2020–4 January 2021.

158396 QUITE CURVY VARIETY BUNDLE

The first project I made was a Christmas card.

I don’t stamp directly onto DSP enough. It is so much fun. As you can see, I stamped the pine trees image onto a SAHARA SAND piece of CLASSIC CHRISTMAS DSP, using Shaded Spruce. I also stamped the snowflake image, using Versamark and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder.

A piece of Sahara Sand cardstock was die cut before I ‘shaped’ the greeting to align with the sloping shape.

There wasn’t a narrow Shaded Spruce ribbon, so I coloured a piece of SEASIDE SPRAY 1/4″ METALLIC RIBBON using my DARK SHADED SPRUCE STAMPIN’ BLEND. I was so pleased to see that the metallic shimmer could still be seen.

I plan to make this card again – without the heat embossed snowflakes. I am happy to have a large space of DSP. What do you think?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.
