GLEAMING GIFT CARD HOLDER

At a recent demonstrator team event I took part in swaps and received a gift card holder (and I do not have the name of the person who made it).

I decided to CASE it and use different Christmas Designer Series Paper – the CHRISTMAS GLEAMING SPECIALTY DSP.

It uses a half sheet of A4 cardstock (11″ x 4.125″). The first time I made one, I used Thick Whisper White cardstock – wrong choice. It was difficult to get crisp folds because it was so thick.

The COPPER FOIL SHEETS coordinate perfectly with the paper I chose from the DSP pack.

The holly sprigs, from the CHRISTMAS GLEAMING STAMP SET, were stamped and coloured before I fussy cut them.

The greeting is from the GIFT WRAPPED STAMP SET and the STITCHED SO SWEETLY DIES were used for the scalloped and stitched rectangle shape.

The scalloped copper foil insert was achieved by using one of the dies from the PEONY DIES.

The card was finished off with a piece of METALLIC BRAID and some METALLIC PEARLS.

Now, it’s time to make some more of these gift card holders for the upcoming new markets at Kangaroo Point.

What do you think?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping!

ANOTHER DIORAMA CARD

After making my very first diorama card on the weekend, I decided to make another one – this time a Christmas themed one.

The returning CHRISTMAS GLEAMING VARIETY BUNDLE was the perfect choice for this project.

The copper foil, in the DSP collection, definitely brings the gleaming.

The copper coloured ornament is heat embossed and suspended using the copper ribbon from the BASKET WEAVE AND METALLIC RIBBON COMBO.

Two CELEBRATION LABELS DIES were used to create the frame for the card front. It is popped up on tow dimensionals to give added height for the ornament to dangle.

There are lots of coordinating copper elements in the current catalogues. I also used some STAR DESIGNER ELEMENTS on the front of the card.

Untie the bow and open the card …

This is the sample card I made for my Facebook Live that I did yesterday. I’ll show you the second card soon.

I tried add flecks of Frost White All-Purpose Ink to the inside of the card. I need to develop this technique because I’m not happy with the end result. I decided to skip this step on the second card.

How are you going with your Christmas card preparations?

A CHRISTMAS CARRIER

The MINI COFFEE CARRIERS and the coordinating MINI COFFEE CUPS are very cute and can be used for all sorts of gifts.

I decided to use them to make this gift cup carrier.

I used one of the WRAPPED IN TEXTURE 3D EMBOSSING FOLDERS to add texture to pieces of Real Red cardstock and then adhered it to the outside of the coffee carrier.

Then, I adhered a length of 1″ SHADED SPRUCE ARGYLE SATIN RIBBON from the WONDER OF THE SEASON RIBBON COMBO and finished it with a loop/roll at the end.

Five stamped, coloured and fussy cut holly clusters feature on the front. I used CLEAR OF OF STELLA to gime them some shimmer.

TH ecarrier was finished with the stamped and die cut sentiment, some REAL RED WONDERFUL GEMS and a SHEER RIBBON bow.

The coffee cups are wrapped in pieces of ‘TIS THE SEASON DSP. One of the designs needed to be holly to tie in to the carrier’s decoration.

Using dies, from the WARM WRAPS DIES, I cut and then embossed the cup wraps. The OLD WORLD PAPER 3D EMBOSSING FOLDER leaves such a great texture.

I really like the die that created the donut shaped pieces – I think I’m going to experiment with other ways to use this die.

I plan to fill the cups with Christmas goodies, like apricot and rum balls. Christmas in Australia does have the climate for hot chocolate or other warm drinks.

Now I need to make a few more for my Christmas table.
