B is for BRUNO’S #scrappystriptechnique

I know – I am very late to the party!

When I decided to make a card using the MONOGRAM MESSAGES STAMP SET along with the FLOWERS FOR EVERY SEASON 6″x 6″ DSP, I knew this was the right moment to give it a go.

I am very happy with the end result!

What do you think?

And the 2020-2022 In Colours work so well together.

Who would have thought that strips of paper, some polka dot tulle ribbon and some enamel dots could look so good.

I might just make another one or two cards using #scrappystripstechnique soon.

SIMPLE STAMPING – STAMPS, INK & PAPER

One of my lovely, new Stampin’ Up! friends, Marika Laforge was one of a group of three deomonstrators who presented Facebook Lives during On Tour Online. Anne-Marie Hile and I were the other two.

Marika presented projects featuring the COMFORT AND HOPE STAMP SET as well as the IN GOOD TASTE DSP.

Now that I have that stamp set, I have been working on a couple of simply stamped cards.

The idea behind #SIMPLESTAMPING is to use stamps, ink and paper. For this card, I also added a strip of paper from the 6″x 6″ NEUTRALS DSP and a LINEN THREAD bow.

What do you think? Do you do a lot of #SIMPLE STAMPING?

LAYERS OF TEXTURE

Some of the paper, in the IN GOOD TASTE DSP pack, looks like embossing paste spread roughly over a coloured background. One is a Rococo Rose shade and the other Night of Navy.

For this card I chose the Rococo Rose.

Using some Rococo Rose ink refill , I coloured some WHITE EMBOSSING PASTE and applied it to a piece of card stock using a BASIC PATTERN DECORATIVE MASK.

It’s fun to try something different! When was the last time you played with embossing paste on a project?
