TIC TAC TOE

Hello! Thank you for popping by to see my second colour challenge card.

Here are the colours, again.

May be an image of text that says '#104 COLOU Vnk IENGES COLO SPIRATION Basic White 第 Cherry Cobbler 城 館 Basic Black'

It is fun to take part in each of the Colour INKsiration Challenges. Sometimes it’s really a challenge, and like this time, it’s great to have some favourite colours included.

For this card I decided to play a little tic tac toe (or noughts and crosses). I used the long rectangular die from the Suit & Tie Dies to cut the strips to make the black and white grid for the game. The Playful Alphabet Dies and Foam Adhesive Sheets made the perfect game pieces.

THe greeting is from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set. It was stamped in Cherry Cobbler and trimmed down into sepearate pieces. Then I attached larger pieces of Basic Black cardstock behind each word. The game grid and words were all attached to the card front using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The July – December Mini Catalogue has some amazing new embellishments, including the ones I have used for this card – Matte Decorative Dots. The dots come in different shades of Bumblebee, Cherry Cobbler, Evening Evergreen and Old Olive. I also stamped one of the images from the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set on the card insert and enveope.

It is great to be able to use products from existing and upcoming catalogues together in a project. It just proves how versatile Stampin’ Up!® products are.

Now I’m off to make some more projects to share with you over the next week. Happy stamping.

MERRIEST MOMENTS – CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Hello lovely crafters! Welcome and thank you so much for popping by to see today’s project. Well, it was actually my Facebook Live project from Thursday.

With the new July – December Mini Catalogue and Sale-a-bration Brochure about to launch, I wanted to share some more of the amazing new products coming your way. I also wanted to show how these new products corrdinate with Annual Catalogue products.

For this project I used the Merriest Moments Bundle, as well as the Gold 12″x 12″ Shimmer Vellum and Gold 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon from the Blackberry Beauty Suite. I was so pleased with how well these new products coordinate with the Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper.

This is the sample card I made before my Facebook Live. After making this version I made some slight adjustments to the card I made during my Live. For this card I used a Shaded Spruce card base. Then I took a slightly smaller piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock and embossed it using the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder.

A length of the Gold Shimmer Ribbon was tied and trimmed before being wrapped around this embossed layer. The ribbon was secured on the back of the cardstock and then glued to the card base.

I used the outline die, from the die set that is part of the Merriest Frames Hybrid Embossing Folder, to cut a piece of the Expressions in Ink Specialty DSP. The next step was to cut a piece of the Gold Shimmer Vellum using the more detailed outline die and rectangular die, as you can see. The remaining rectangle gold vellum piece was then reduced in size before the Christmas sentiment was stamped in Jet Black StazOn. This piece was adhered to a slightly larger piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock and popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This collection of layers was then attached to the card using lots of Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped one of the leaves images onto the card insert and envelope.

The card I made during my Facebook Live yesterday was very similar to the sample card I have already shared. However, there are a few differences. Can you spot them?

The differences include – cutting and embossing the Expressions in Ink layer; Stampin’ Dimensionals on the DSP layer only around the central rectangle area (none around the edges); using Adhesive Sheet rather than Stampin’ Seal+ to adhere the gold vellum stamped rectangle to the Shaded Spruce rectangle layer; and no Gold Shimmer Ribbon on the second card, instead some Gold Metallic Pearls.

I think that I prefer the second card! What do you think? LEt me know which of the two you prefer.

In recent years, I have been sending a bundle of Christmas cards to my sister for her to send to friends and family. So I decided to decorate a C6 Acetate Box to pop some Christmas cards into and send to her. One of these will amke their way into the box.

I won’t explain what I did to create the bellyband for the acetate card box – I am very confident that most of you will be able to look at the image and “deconstruct” the products and process.

I may not be able to show you products as they appear in the new Mini Catalogue, but I can share this image of some of the ‘new goodies’ that I used for these projects.

I really love the way the Shaded Spruce colour works so well with the Gold Glimmer Vellum and the Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Hmmmmmm – yes. I’m happy with these projects. LEt me know what you think!

Until my next post, happy stamping.

ONE MORE WHIMSICAL CARD

Hello again! Thank you so much for popping by again.

OR

Hello and welcome! I am so pleased that you are popping by for the first time.

I would love you to leave a comment, letting me know if you are a regular visitor or new. It would be wonderful to know where you are from and what you enjoy about paper crafting. Leave me any requests you may have for techniques or products or … just about anything.

Today I have another fun fold card, inspired by Tami White, to share today.

I have used the Whimsy & Wonder Suite again for this project – there are so many possibilities using this suite. I chose a different DSP design for this card.

After cutting the Polished Pink cardstock to a quarter A4 base (5-3/4″x 4-1/8″), I cut a piece of the Whimsy & Wonder Designer Series Paper to 5-5/8″. Then it was scored along the 12″ side, from right to left, at 4″ and 8″ and 1″. After folding the DSP (you can see it below) Multipurpose Adhesive was used to attach the paper, gift boxes side up, to the card base.

I stamped the holly leaves on the Basic White card insert, adhered it to a Polished Pink layer and glued it inside the card. The same image was stamped on the envelope. The berries were coloured using my Polished Pink Stampin’ Write Marker™ and the leaves in Mossy Meadow. Some Clear Wink of Stella was also added.

I stamped the holly leaves image, in Mossy Meadow, onto a piece of Basic White cardstock. The greeting was then stamped in Polished Pink adjacent to the holly, then this panel cut out using one the Stitched Rectangle Dies – most of you know that this is one of my ‘go to’ die sets. It is so easy to use a die and reposition it to adjust the final size – totally versatile!

I used Stampin’ Seal+ to securely attach a length of Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon to the 1″ folded piece of DSP. The sentiment was then popped up on the 1″ folded layer using just a few more dimensionals. I fussy cut several gift boxes and layered them on the 1″ layer – some were adhered using Multipurpose Glue and the others with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The boxes were ‘painted’ with Clear Wink of Stella for some added bling.

At last a partial image of the Whimsical Trees Stamp Set! It is super cute.

What do you think? Are you getting a little bit excited with this suite?

Happy stamping.
