COLOUR INKSPIRATION #98

Hello and welcome! Thank you for popping by for my latest project.

It is Colour Inkspiration time – this is #CI98. THese colours are so gorgeous .

May be an image of flower and text that says '#98 COLOUR SPIRATION CHALLENGES Magenta Madness Flirty Flamingo Pear Pizzazz Soft Sea Foam Gray Granite'

I decided to stick with the idea of florals for my project. This challenge was the perfect opportunity for me to use the Elegantly Said Stamp Set from the brand new 2021 – 2022 Annual Catalogue.

I added colour directly to the floral stamp using the Stampin’ Write Markers™. A quick ‘huff’ and then stamp. I repeated this 11 times to create my own DSP. Then, another two times for the envelope and on the card insert.

The lace-like trim image was stamped in Gray Granite and the birthday greeting in Flirty Flamingo.

Before I adhered the stamped layer to the Pear Pizzazz card base, I attached the tied and trimmed Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon. Then I popped the birthday greeting panel up with some Stampin’ Dimensionals. The last thing was to attach some Metallic Pearls for some subtle bling.

A pretty birthday card and another Colour Inkspiration Challenge complete.

What do you think? Do you like the floral stamp?

Happy stamping.

GLOBAL DESIGN PROJECT #290

Hello and welcome. Thank you for popping by. I’m sure that you will find today’s elegant.

It is Sunday and therefore a Global Design Project challenge. The second Sunday of the month, for a GDP challenge, is a sketch challenge.

For my project, I decided to use the new Simply Elegant Suite.

SIMPLY ELEGANT SUITE COLLECTION (ENGLISH)

I used one design from the Simply ElegantSpecialty Designer Series Paper and the Elegantly Said Stamp Set. The DSP was cut to use as a layer to be adhered to the Basic Black cardbase. I love this design which is made up of a collection of gold and black dots.

I started by staming the image onto Gold Foil Sheet using Jet Black StazOn. This was then cut using one of the Layering Circles Dies. The Basic Black and White Vellum layers were also cut using this die set. These were then layered, adhered and then trimmed before using a double layer of Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop them up onto the card front.

The sentiment was stamped, with Versamark and then heat embossed in gold, onto White Vellum. I used one of the dies from the Meadows Dies to cut the sentiment. A second piece was cut from Gold Foil Sheet and placed under the vellum layer. The left side was trimmed back and then this piece tucked under the circle layers.

Looking at these images, I can see that the sentiment layer has drifted and is not straight – a situation that has been corrected. It’s amazing how a tiny move can look so jarring.

If you know me, you will know that I usually finish my cards by adding a few embellishments and stamping an image on the card insert and envelope. This time I used the Matt Black Dots for the card front.

As the suite name says, this card is simply elegant. What do you think?

Happy stamping.

HEARTFELT

Hello and welcome. I am so pleased that you have taken some to pop by today.

I have another Beauty of the Earth project to share with you today.

The Beauty of the Earth 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper is stunning and it does all the work for a card.

The sentiment is from another new product, the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set. I cut it using one of the Tasteful Labels Dies. Before arraching the sentiment to the front of the car I tied, trimmed and wrapped a length of Misty Moonlight Ribbon around the DSP layer. Then I added dimensionals to the back of the sentiment and popped it up, over the ribbon.

I coloured some Frosted Epoxy Droplets using the Dark Misty Moonlught Stampin’ Blend and placed across the card front. A thin strip of the DSP was adhered to the envelope and on the card insert.

This card would be ideal to give to someone who you have been thinking about because they are experiencing a challenge or sadness. Can you think of someone who could have needed a card like this recently?

Happy stamping.
