FRESHLY BREWED PROJECT

Hello and thank you for popping by. I hope you like today’s project.

It has been wonderful getting back into a creative routine. I made three projects yesterday but did not quite get around to posting them, so that’s what I’m doing today.

May be an image of coffee cup and text that says 'Freshly Brewed PROJEGTS'

It is Wednesday, so it’s time to post my Freshly Brewed Project blog hop card. This week’s theme is Case the Catalogue.

I focussed on the You’re a Peach Suite on pages 60-61.

There is a slight difference between the two cards. Can you see it?

The peaches were coloured using Calpso Coral and Pale Papaya. I inked the stamp directly onto the Pale Papaya stamp pad and then applied the Calypso Coral around the outer edge and through the centre of the peach using a sponge dauber. The leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz. Then I used the dies to cut the stamped images. These two paper desings are found on the same sheet of You’re a Peach Designer Series Paper. I used some of the blue spot paper to decorate the flap of the envelope and the card insert.

One of the amazing things about each of the Stampin’ Up!© catalogues is the incredible inspiration it provides. Every page has project after project that we can copy or adapt. This card was so quick and easy to CASe.

Make sure you pop over and see what the Freshly Brewed team has cased.

Happy stamping … and caseing.

POST KNEE – PROJECT THREE

Hello and thank you for popping by. I may have been M.I.A. for a week but I am so excited to share another project with you – I hope that you like it!

For today’s card, I decided to use the Elegantly Said Bundle – a stamp set and punch bundle. I also used the Designer Series Paper from the Suite.

ELEGANTLY SAID BUNDLE (ENGLISH)

Here is the card that I made.

For this project, I started by cutting 1-3/4″ strips of Basic Black cardstock. I trimmed short, narrow wedges from each end of the cardstock so that I could easily slide the narrow end into the punch to cut just this shape. Then I used my Paper Trimmer to cut three of the pieces at 3″. I kept the fourth piece to use later for the sentiment.

I used Versamark, White Embossing Powder and my Heat Tool to stamp the floral image on each Basic Black piece. Once done, I used Stampin’ Blends to colour each floral image – Daffodil Delight, Fresh Freesia, Polished Pink and Soft Succulent. The Polished Pink was much brighter than the other two colours, so I used the Colour Lifter to tone back the pink a little.

Before I attached these elements, to the layer of Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper, I wrapped a length of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon around the DSP. There are tiny slivers of the ribbon peeking from between the stamped elements. The sentiment was also stamped and heat embossed before being trimmed back to a much smaller size and attached to the card front. I tied a small bow using a length of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon and attached it, as you can see, using a Mini Glue Dot. The final touch was to add three areas of 2021-2023 In Colour Jewels.

These are some of the products I used to make this card. What do you think?

COLOUR INKSPIRATION #99

Hello and thank you so much for popping by. I added a new post yesterday after a two week absence – but, I have a new knee and have been doing all my physiotherapy exercises.

Yesterday’s post was for the Global Design Project #GDP292. I made the card for the GDP challenge after I made my project for #CI99 – I thought it would be easier to use the same colours for both challenges.

May be an image of 1 person and text that says '#99 COLOUR NSPIRATION CHALLENGES Mint Macaron Just JusJade Jade Smoky Slate Soft Suede'

For this card i chose the Colour & Contour Stamp Set and Scalloped Contours Dies.

It was loads of fun using these, very unfloral, colours for the penned flower images. I stamped the images, using Jet Black StazOn, and then used the challenge colours to watercolour the flowers. The images were then die cut.

The coordinating dies have two dies for the floral images, a scalloped edge die and five scalloped rectangles. I used the second largest of these to cut out a ‘window’, in Soft Suede, for the sentiment and gems. The sentiment was stamped, using Just Jade, onto a piece of Shimmery White cardstock and positioned on the Soft Suede card front. The window layer was lifted up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. Then I positioned the flowers and floral stem onto the card front. They were adhered using both Mulitpurpose Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals. The final touch was to add some of the Genial Gems.

SCALLOPED CONTOURS DIES

These are some of the new products I used for this project.

The fonts used in the sentiments of this stamp set are really lovely.

It has been very nice to make two projects, two weeks after my surgery. Getting back to ‘normal’ is a treat.

Happy stamping.
