BRIGHT & BEAUTIFUL

Hello lovely crafters. Thank you for popping by today.

I decided to use the Art in Bloom Bundle for this project. This bundle includes the stamp set and a new Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder. I have a project that I’ve made for tomorrow’s post that will show you how this works.

ART IN BLOOM BUNDLE (ENGLISH)

For this card I simply used the stamps and dies.

I started by stamping the background using Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody and Polished Pink. Using the Stamparatus is the perfect way to position the images equally apart – and, parallel! This background piece was then adhered to the card base.

The flowers and leaves were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento before I stamped the colours. Then they were die cut and popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals and placed on the card front. The card insert and envelope were also stamped with one of the flower images.

I added Clear Wink of Stella to each of the flowers. Some Polished Pink 2021-2023 In Colour Jewels finished the card.

These are most of the products I used to make this card. I only have a few of the Jewels left on my sheet so I didn’t place them in this photo.

Which ‘Dear Friend’ would you send this card to? I think it would make a great card to cheer someone uo because it is so bright.

Happy stamping.

HATS OFF

Hello to each of you and thanks for popping by.

My project this morning was to make a birthday card for my eldest daughter to give to one of her friends.

II combined the Biggest Wish Stamp Set with the Hat Builder Dies.

This was also a great way to use up some of my remaining Well Suited Designer Series Paper. This is a very simple fun fold card that has a Night of Navy card base and two panels of the DSP. A second piece of Night of Navy cardstock is attached to the left hand panel of the card. The birthday greeting, from the Biggest Wish Stamp Set, was stamped on a piece of Basic White cardstock. I used my Stamparatus so that I could ensure a well inked image.

I wanted to add some strong pops of colour to the card, so I cut five caps in bold colours. The caps were stacked with Stampin’ Dimensionals so that there was added height on the card front.

When the card is opened there are five more caps stacked inside.

I’m happy with the how bright the hats look. This makes the card very cheerful. I hope my daughter likes the card and her friend is pleased to receive it.

Happy stamping.

WINTER BLUES

Hello and wecome to today’s post. I am so grateful that you have popped by.

It is Wednesday and it is time for another Freshly Brewed Project blog hop project. Our theme this week is Winter Blues.

The winter months in Australia span June to August and here, in Brisbane, we haven’t really experienced much cold weather yet. Most days have averaged around 22C. It’s not cold enough to look blue nor is it cold enough to feel blue because of the weather. For this card, I simply decided to go with the idea of the colour blue.

I started by selecting a piece of paper from the Tidings of Christmas 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper. Although this is Christmas themed DSP, I am using it for a different purpose – offering sunshine to combat winter blues.

The Misty Moonlight card base and other features cover the ‘blues’ element of the theme. These features include the In Colour Ribbon, In Colour Square Gems and other Misty Moonlight cardstock die cut pieces.

After I cut the DSP layer, I wrapped lengths of the two ribbons around the front and adhered them, to the back, with Tear & Tape. The DSP layer was then adhered to the card base.

I used the Label Me Lovely Punch to create the base for the Christmas Trimmings die cut pieces. After these pieces were adhered to the punched base, I added a double bow made using the white Baker’s twine. The sentiment, from the Celebrate with Flowers Stamp Set, was stamped in Misty Moonlight and Cherry Cobbler. The sentiment was punched using the same punch and cut with my trimmer, so that it would slide under the ribbons. I decided to fussy cut the Cherry Cobbler ‘Sunshine’ so that I could pop it up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped one of the Tidings & Trimmings images, in Cherry Cobbler, on the card insert and envelope front. The final touch was the add a few of the 2020-2022 In Colour Square Gems to the sentiment layer.

Here are many of the products I used to create this card. This is the first time that I have used the Tidings & Trimmings Bundle – and it wasn’t for a Christmas card. I will definitely make one very soon.

Who would you send a ‘sunshine filled’ card to?

Make sure that pop along to see what the other FBP team have created:

Happy stamping.
