TIME FOR SOME FUN

Hello crafty friends. Welcome to today’s project share. I am so pleased that you’re visiting my post.

I wanted to use my Give It a Whirl Dies again because I’ve only used it once so far. One of my goals for the rest of the year is to work my way through all of my Stampin’ Up!® goodies that I have only used once.

For this project I decided to use the Brew Some Fun Stamp Set and Pattern Play Designer Series Paper.

I wanted to use smaller images and stamp them several times to fill the spaces on the spinning card piece. The tea bag cup, party hats and flowers stamps were the perfect size to do this. After they were stamped I coloured them using Stampin’ Write Markers™. Let’s take a spin and I’ll show you the other two segments.

I used the same die, that cut the viewing space, to cut two pieces of the DSP. These were then posiotined to create the segmented circle.

To assemble the card I added a layer of striped DSP to the base. Then I used a brad to hold the spinning mechanism in position under the Misty Moonlight front panel.

I stamped the greeting in Misty Moonlight onto a small piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock. Then I used the scalloped die to cut the circle that I could place inside the Bumblebee scalloped frame.

More scalloped frames, in coordinating colours, were cut and adhered to the card front, card insert and envelope.

It was fun to make another spinning card. Now I’ll need to think of some other card ideas for this set of dies.

What do you think? Who would you like to brew up some fun with?

Until next time, happy stamping.

LET’S BREW UP SOME FUN

Hello and thank you for popping by today.

It has been such a long time since I have used Very Vanilla cardstock. So I decided to use it for today’s card and the Brew Some Fun Stamp Set.

As soon as I saw the stamp set I knew that I wanted to use the image of 4 teaspoons to create some of my own Designer Series Paper. I stamped the image many times, rotating the image, as I worked my way across the cardstock. Early Espresso was the perfect colour for a coffee card.

After I finished stamping the Very Vanilla layer I wrapped and secured a length of Early Espresso Faux Suede Trim around it. The greeting was stamped in Cajun Craze and cut using one of the Hippo & Friends Dies.

The five take away coffee cups were stamped in Cajun Craze and then used Cajun Craze and Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Markers to colour some of the stripes. The cup was also stamped on the card insert and envelope. The last step was to use the Dark Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blend to colour some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to embellish the card front. I like the way cajun rhinestones pop on the espresso spoons.

I like the simplicity of a card that only uses three colours – Cajun Craze, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla. Imagine what the card would look like with three different colours.
