ANOTHER FLORAL FAREWELL CARD

Hello to everyone who pops by. I appreciate you taking the time to see what I have been making. If this is your first visit, welcome.

As I mentioned yesterday, I am making a few projects with current products before my interest is drawn away to my new arrivals (and, I am very excited to start using them and sharing with you very soon).

I am still using the Fine Art Floral Suite today but this card is a very different look.

Instead of using the Fine Art FLoral Designer Series Paper, I used the Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate. I simply cut an overlay piece of the acetate and attached a length of soon to retire Night of Navy Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon from the Boho Indigo product Medley. I used small quantities of Stampin’ Seal to attach the acetate to the front of the Night of Navy cardbase. The Seal was placed on gold areas on the reverse side – this way it was not seen on the front of the card.

The sentiment was stamped using Versamark and sprinkled with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder before I used the Heat Tool to set the embossing powder. The coordinating die was used to cut it out. It was a perfect size for the ribbon. The floral image was stamped inside the card, on a Basic White insert, and the envelope. To finish the card, I added some silver Metallic Pearls.

I think this would make a perfect card for a silver anniversary. What occasion would you use this card for?

Happy stamping.

ADVENTURE & DISCOVERY

Ans I planned my card making for this week, I realised that the SILHOUTTE SCENES STAMP SET and coordinating SWEET SILHOUETTES DIES have been sitting on my shelves, unused, for far too long.

Of all the images, the three depicting children and their search are my favourites. For me, they represent the innocent search for new understanding. One child uses binoculars to seek something out … another child points toward the sky, space or the stars … and the last child, holds a plane mesmerised by the concept of flight.

I believe inquiry and learning are essential to lifelong learning and that is such an amazing ADVENTURE.

I used a piece of PLAYING WITH PATTERNS 6″x 6″ DSP as a mat layer on top of the card base. Before I adhered it down, I attached a length of Night of Navy Ribbon from the BOHO INDIGO PRODUCT MEDLEY.

The images of the three children were stamped and heat embossed using Versamark and White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, onto Night of Navy A4 Cardstock.

I used the PAINTED LABELS DIES to die cut each image.

The ADVENTURE sentiment comes from the SWEET SILHOUETTE DIES and was die cut twice – FOAM ADHESIVE SHEETS were attached to Night of Navy cardstock and one was adhered to the second, giving lots of height.

On the card insert, I stamped the Thoreau quote – ‘Go confidently in the direction of your dreams’.

On the envelope, I stamped the image of the child using binoculars.

I cannot been that I haven’t used this set before. I am beginning to plan other ways to use it.

Who would you give this card to?

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping.

LOVELY THANK YOU GIFT BOX

I love having lots of gift boxes on hand, ready to fill with goodies , for when there is someone to share my thanks.

A few days ago I posted a birthday gift box I made using the BOHO INDIGO PRODUCT MEDLEY. I have used the same colours and products for this gift box.

This time, I made a lid using the second largest of the CELEBRATION LABELS DIES.

For the greeting label, I die cut two of the smaller dies, from the same die set. When they are overlaid the way I did, the end result is great – super happy with this little discovery.

I am really pleased with how this gift box finished up and now all I need is that special person to give this to.

Now onto an anniversary card.

Thanks for popping by … happy stamping and gift box making.

These are the products I used to make this gift box. If you live anywhere in Australia, you can order any of them through me.
