STANDING ALONE

Hello and welcome! Thank you for dropping by for today’s latest project.

After yesterday’s Global Design Project blog hop, today I am back with another Beauty of the Earth Suite project.

In an earlier post, I mentioned how much I liked the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper and all of their designs. The blue and green papers used on the card front are perfect for the sky and rolling hills I created for this card. It was so easy to tear the DSP to create the undulating hills.

TIP: When you tear the paper by hand, to get a green edge without any white showing, you need to tear from the back not the front. If you tear from the front some white will be seen.

I started by laying down the sky and the wider hills. Then cut each of the elements for the tree. A tall, strong tree standing steadfastly alone – a symbol that illustrates the sentiment perfectly. I placed Adhesive Sheets onto the back of the DSP and cardstock, so that I could very easily secure the tree to the card front. I stamped the sentiment directly onto second layer of ‘hills’ before it was adhered to the bottom of the panel.

I secured lengths of Natural and Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim to the front panel and tied them in knot and trimmed them back. I added a mini glue dot behind the knot to secure it. As I often do, I added thin strips of DSP to the card insert and envelope – just to add the finishing touches (no bling this time).

Who inspires you? Who would you give this card to?

I am so pleased with this card. It is clean and simple and so easy.

Happy stamping.

LOTS OF LEAVES

Hello and welcome! Thanks for popping by for today’s project.

This is one of the cards I made using the Beauty of the Earth Suite. I also used the Forever Flourishing Dies from the Forever Fern Bundle.

All the cards I have made using this suite have the Designer Series Paper as the focus because each of the designs are so lovely. This design reminds me of the Forever Greenery DSP from the 2020 – 2021 Annual Catalogue. So I cut a variety of leaf shapes in vellum, Misty Moonlight and Old Olive. I used mini glue dots to hold all of them together.

Then I used the new Bark 3D Embossing Folder to add texture to pieces of Misty Moonlight and Old Olive cardstock. Lengths of Misty Moonlight Twine, from the Well Suited Twine Combo Pack, and gold trim, from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack were wrapped around the embossed cardstock. The sentiment, from the Forever Fern Stamp Set, was then cut using one of the Tailor Made Tags Dies. I was able to shorten the tag by repositioning the die and ensuring the the small stitches were locked into place. The tag was tied using the twine already on the cardfront. The gold hoop is also from the Forever Greenery Suite.

I added Gilded Gems to the front of the card for a little bling. The splatters of Misty Moonlight on the card insert and envelope were stamped using a stamp from the Forever Fern Stamp Set. These colours are so cool and refreshing.

Happy stamping.

BEAUTY OF THE EARTH

Hello and welcome! I am so pleased that you have popped by for today’s project.

For the next few days I am going to share a number of different cards using the Beauty of the Earth Suite.

The Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper does all the hard work in all the cards I have made. I love the rich, earthy colours in this design. The background design is a forest of water coloured trees in Autumn. The panel, under the greeting, is also one of the designs. There are rows and rows of these trees on the paper.

I cut the vellum trees using the Beautiful Trees Dies. The foliage was coloured using a sponge dauber and the Saddle Brown StazOn ink. Each layer of the tree has some Stampin’ Seal used to hold them together and to attach it to the front of the card. Thenk I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop the row of trees panel up for some height. The die cut sentiment, stamp and dies both from this bundle, also had dimensionals added.

The final step was to stamp the tree trunk, in Early Espresso, onto the envelope and card insert. What do you think?

Happy stamping.
