THIS SUNDAY BRINGS MY COUNTRY WOODS SUITE COLLECTION PROJECT SHARES TO A CLOSE

For almost the last two weeks I have been sharing the Country Woods Suite Collection projects, that I created for a recent Paper Angels Team Day, with you.

They have ranged from easier cards for newer crafters to more elaborate projects for the more expereinced and well equipped crafter. I have showcased this product collection and used other products to maximise creative opportunities to show what you can use this new collection with. There have been a variety of tips, techniques and fun folds on offer as well. I hope that you have enjoyed what I have shared and are now inspired to move on to your own creations.

Today I have a 12″x 12″ scrapbook page to share with you.

It incorporates four photographs – two from our recent visit to the US and two from the UK.

For this page I used multiple layers of card – a 12″x 12″ Basic White base and then receding layers of coloured card – Azure Afternoon, Smoky Slate, Azure Afternoon and Smoky Slate. Finally, I added a piece of paper from the Country Lace DSP collection.

This piece of DSP was a perfect match for the US beach scentes and the UK concrete in the photos.

I cut four 3 3/4″ panels in Basic White and Azure Afternoon and used the So Swirly 3D Embossing Folder to give them texture.

These embossed panels were adhered evenly on the page before the photos were added.

I used the Keeping Tabs Die/Punch to create each journalling tab to then add to each photograph.

I used the Beach Day Dies to cut the three surfboards I added to the page.

How much do you think this beach hut would cost to buy?

I printed the central sentiment using a typewriter style font and trimme dit down to add to my page.

This was such an awesome memory page to make because of the wonderful experiences we had.

Tomorrow, being Monday means, I will introduce a new collection of products to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping and scrapbooking.

IT’S FRIDAY & TIME FOR SOME FEATURES AND A FUN FOLD CARD

This week I have been showcasing the Beach Day Bundle.

The Photopolymer Stamp Set has 14 stamps – 4 different greetings and 10 awesome beach inspired images.

The greetings combine two different fonts and the images are outlined and perfect for colouring.

To coordinate with the stamps, there are 21 dies in the bundle.

Today’s card is a fun fold card that I made using a piece of 12″x 6″ that was scored at 4″ and 8″.

I also used the Bright & Beautiful 6″x 6″ DSP this week. Several of the designs were perfect for sky and ocean backgrounds.

I am so pleased with the extended beach scene I was able to create.

After cutting, scoring and folding the card base, I began creating each of the beach scenes throughout the card.

For the front I placed a panel of the DSP for the sky and then added the die cut beach element. I used my Dark Pecan Pie Blender Pen to create the sandy flecks across the beach.

I cut the wave piece using one of the Beach Day Dies and adhered it between the beach and the sky.

The next step was to add the palm tree and then the life guard’s hut. The hut was coloured in the same day as the hut from Monday.

After stamping and trimming the greeting, I tucked a loop of Lemon Lolly Sheer Ribbon, from the Combo Pack, behind the greeting. The greeting was popped up on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I stamped and die cut some seagulls to add to the card.

When the card is fully opened there are three 4″ wide panels. I added two DSP panels and a Basic White panel to the card.

Then I added a 12″ wide panel of Crumb Cake card that had been die cut using the wavy die to create a beach waterline. This panel was scored at 4″, 6″, 8″ and 10″. The waves were added to the two outer panels.

I added palm trees, umbrellas, beach chairs, sandcastles, shells, a beachball, surfboards and shells to the beach panel.

To the skyline I added clouds, from the Hot Air Balloon Dies, and a few seagulls.

I am so happy with the beach scenes I created for this card.

I’m just deciding whether I need to go back and add another wave to the centre panel. What do you think? Should I?

So many fun products to play with!

Tomorrow I will have a challenge project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

THURSDAY MEANS THAT IT IS TIME FOR A 3D PROJECT

Today I have two projects to share with you. They both use a masking and blending colouring technique … one is a card and the second is a 3D project.

For these projects I wanted to use Masking Paper to create two sunset scenes by adding colour with my Blending Brushes.

When I started to colour these backgrounds, I punched a circle from a piece of Masking Paper. After positioning the masking paper on the Basic White panel, with a piece of grid paper as a guide, I began to add Daffodil Delight ink to colour the setting sun.

TIP: After you add ink to your Blending Brush, start using a circular brushing technique OFF the card stock. This way you will avoid adding a big splotch of colour . Continue using the circular brusging technique and slowly move the brush across the card, building up colour as you go.

I used other layers of Masking Paper to create the rest of my card background.

The Classic Stampin’ Pads that I used to colour the sunset image were (alphabetically) – Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red

After I finished blending the sunset background I die cut the ‘shadow’ elements using Basic Black cardstock.

The beach element was created using the wavy die. Then the life savers’ hut was cut from Basic Black card also.

Finally, I die cut the seagulls and palm tree elements in black card as well.

These pieces were then adhered to the front of the card using Multipurpose Adhesive and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The 3D project I made for todayalso used a sunset brushed scene.

I found a white chocolate and orange sphere that is wrapped in an orange and yellow foil – it looks just like a gorgeous sun.

The gift box I made, for this chocolate, is a perfect fit.

The gift box is made from 12″x 12″ Pumpkin Pie cardstock. After cutting and scoring the box, I used one of the Deckled Circles Dies to cut out two ‘peepholes’.

For the top and the back of the box, I cut some pieces of Gorgeous Grape card and added texture with the circles Cheery Patterns Embossing Folder.

After adhering them in place, I stamped the greeting onto Basic White card and cut it with a smaller Deckled Circles Die. I added a die cut Pumpkin Pie circle under the greeting. Before adding this layered circles to the top of the box, I took some of the blended sunset scraps and created two banner cut strips.

I am so happy with the way my blended sunset scenes turned out.

Tomorrow I have a Fun Fold Card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.
