MY FIRST GILT CARD

Hello to all my inky fingered friends – thanks for popping by.

There are two very special new products in the FINE ART FLORAL SUITE – GILDED LEAFING and HEAT & STICK POWDER.

HEAT & STICK POWDER

WARNING – When you open the jar of gilded leafing make sure you have a larger container ready to store it in because it pressed quite tightly in the original jar and boy, does it want more space!

I bought a 1″ wide brush to use to press in and then brush away the excess gilded leafing into the sticky powder.

Royal & Langnickel Zen Series 73 Paintbrush Wash Size 1 | Officeworks

I was really pleased with the final result and surprised that it wasn’t messier to work with.

I gilded the outer edges of a piece of Basic White card stock. After I stamped the Night of Navy flower, I stamped the second part of the image using Versamark and then sprinkled the Heat & Stick Powder onto it. After using the heat tool and the ‘melting’ the powder, I was able to press the gilded leafing onto the flower.

Isn’t this piece of the FINE ART FLORAL DSP gorgeous?

I think this would make a perfect card to give to someone who has done something special for you – the sentiment says it all – ‘You Are Lovely’.

Who would you send this card to?

Happy stamping.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hello to all my stamping and paper crafting friends – thanks for popping by.

You may have noticed over the past few days that I have been enjoying the FINE ART FLORAL SUITE.

Today’s card is ready to add to my birthday card 2021 stash.

It is another uncomplicated card that relies on the stamps, ink and paper do all the hard work.

The large floral image is achieved using two step stamping and two different colours. I prefer to stamp the darker colour first and the lighter next. It is easier for me to align the images. The colours used were Petal Pink, Terracotta Tile and Merry Merlot.

The birthday greeting was cut using the CLASSIC LABEL PUNCH and I used a strip cut from the edge of a sheet of dimensionals to pop it up on a piece of TERRACOTTA TILE SCALLOPED LINEN RIBBON.

The final touches included placing five ELEGANT FACETED GEMS onto the card front and a splash of CLEAR WINK OF STELLA in the centre of the darker flower.

How am I going at convincing you to add this suite to your wish list?

Happy stamping.

ANOTHER FINE ART FLORAL CARD

Hello to all my stamping friends – thanks for popping by.

Today, I want to shae another card I made using the FINE ART FLORAL SUITE. Full disclosure and warning – once you start creating with this suite, you will be hooked.

The sheet of DSP has some tiny flecks of Night of Navy amongst the flowers and that was enough for me to use a navy card base. The layout for this card is an uncomplicated one – three evenly spaced strips of DSP and an oval shaped focal point.

I stamped the floral image onto Basic White card stock and die cut it. The colour was added directly onto the stamp. The flowers were popped up onto the STITCHED OVAL die cut piece of vellum and this was popped up onto the card front as well.

The navy jewels are from the HOLIDAY RHINESTONE BASIC JEWELS and the twine is from the WELL SUITED TWINE COMBO PACK.

I am so pleased with how the ‘congratualtions’ sentiment stands out so clearly from the background.

Who would you send this card to?

Happy stamping.
