ANOTHER CHALLENGE

Hello! Thanks for popping by today. I appreciate the time each of you take to visit my site.

My project is for this week’s Global Design Project Challenge – and, it’s a sketch challenge.

I decided to use the After the Storm Stamp Set, for the first time. This is the stamp set created for France “Frenchie” Martin’s Million Sales Achievement. I thought the background area of the sketch appeared to be cloud-like, so I went with clouds.

I started by stamping the rays of sunshine in Bumblebee – I used a post-it note to mask the top portion. Then I stamped the clouds using Smoky Slate and Balmy Blue ink. Then I cut three short lengths of Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon and layered them over the rays.

The greeting was stamped twice – once in Balmy Blue and then Bumblebee. I cut them using the long banner from the Bloom Dies. A small piece of 2020-2022 In Colour 6″x 6″ DSP was glued down before the greeting banner was added. It was popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I cut the Bumblebee ‘sunshine’ and popped it over the base banner.

The card insert and envelope have Balmy Blue clouds stamped on them. The final touch was colouring some Pearl Basic Jewels using the dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend.

Oops – I put the wrong Classic Stampin’ Pad in the photo.

So, do you like the way I interpreted the sketch challenge? Who could you cheer up by sending this card?

Happy stamping.
