A 3D GILDED BIRDCAGE GIFT BOX

This week I have been showcasing the Pretty Birds Bundle.

For my 3D project, I wanted to feature the larger of the bird cage dies for a gift box.

I added adhesive Sheets to the back of gold paper from the Gold & Rose Gold 6″x 6″ Metallic Specialty Paper before die cutting four of the bird cages.

After cutting and scoring the Basic Black cardstock for the gift box, I attached the gold bird cages. THen I constructed the gift box.

The greeting is from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set and was stamped using Versamark Ink. I sprinkled black embossing powder, from the Basics Stampin’ EmbossTM Powders pack, and then used my Heat Tool to melt and set it. Next time I will heat from underneath the Gold Metallic Specialty Paper to ensure the gold on the specialty paper doesn’t melt.

The gold and black gift box is really quite elegant. What gift would you pop inside?

Tomorrow I have a Fun Fold card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

IT’S THURSDAY AND TIME TO SHARE A 3D PROJECT

I have a cute little gift box to share with you today.

This little Balmy Blue gift box looks great with the coordinating Awash in Beauty Designer Series Paper. It’s so pretty.

The greeting is from the True Beauty Stamp Set. It was stamped on a 3/4″ strip of Balmy Blue cardstock. I used the Banners Pick a Punch to shape the ends.

I cut a length of the White Glittered Organdy Ribbon in half and then coloured one using my Light Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blend pen and the other using my Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend pen.

I always enjoy making sweet little gift boxes.

Tomorrow is Fun Fold Friday and I have a Spanner Panel card to share.

Until then, happy stamping.

3D THURSDAY GIFT BOX

For my 3D project today I decided to use the new Cracker & Treat Box Dies in a different way.

CRACKER & TREAT BOX DIES

I cut one cracker box in Night of Navy A4 cardstock and one from a piece of the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. Then I cut away one triangular section from each.

The next step was to use Stampin’ Seal+ to create the top and bottom halves of the cracker gift box.

I used white baker’s twine, from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack, to draw in the ends of the cracker and tie a bow.

The diamond shapes that were cut away when the cracker was cut. I adhered them to the Night of Navy cracker bottom.

The greeting, from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set, was stamped and trimmed before being threaded on the baker’s twine.

The DSP cracker top slides over the Night of Navy cracker bottom.

This cracker gift box holds a Clear Wink of Stella.

This would make a great team gift. What do you think?

I think that I will make my bonbons this way for Christmas this year.

Tomorrow I will have a funfold card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.
