POP UP TIME

Hello and thank you for popping by. I hope you like the project that I am sharing with you today.

It’s Wednesday, so that means it is a blog hop day.

May be an image of coffee cup and text that says 'Freshly Brewed PROJEGTS'

This week’s theme is Fancy Fold Cards. This is the first time I have made a Pop Up Cube card. I was inspired by a card that Lisa Curcio shared recently. Her instructions were so easy to follow.

I chose the Expressions in Ink Suite for this project. The Specialty Designer Series Paper is simply stunning. I love the gold elements that have been incorporated into the watercoloured images. For the DSP panels, that have been adhered to the cube base, I added a Gold Foil layer behoind the green and gold. This helps the DSP pop. Of course, I needed to add some of the Gold Metallic Pearls to emphasise the gold features even more.

The birthday greeting is from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set and was stamped in Polished Pink. It was cut using one of the Bloom Dies, from the Art in Bloom Bundle. Then I cut an Evening Evergreen panel to pop behind the greeting. It is attached to the inside of the card using a small circle of the same coloured cardstock which is folded in half. This creates a hinge so the greeting sits in just the right place.

The flowers and leaves were stamped and die cut. Then I ‘painted’ on some Versamark refill and used the Heat & Stick Powder to lay down some Gilded Leafing. I looped some gold Simply Elegant Trim behind one of the flowers.

The card folds down so that it can slide inside an envelope. I forgot to take a photo of the back of the card to share with you. It has two panels of Basic White cardstock. One is stamped, in Evening Evergreen, with ‘best wishes’ and both have a cluster of three small flowers stamped in Polished Pink.

I think that I will need to make more of these cards using lots of different paper designs and stamps.

Make sure that pop by to see what the Freshly Brew crew have created.

Happy stamping.

STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE

Hello and thanks for popping by. I have a very sweet treat to share with you today.

Today’s project was inspired by a block of chocolate I found when I was shopping the other day.

I was drawn to the colour of the chocolate – rich pink with a black and gold label. I knew that I could make a great gift box to pop it inside and give as a gift. The Kokopod chocolate is made in Queensland and is made with strawberry dust blended into white chocolate. There’s also some strawberry dust sprinkled on the front of the block.

I knew that I would use a piece of the Expressions in Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper to make the gift box. The birthday greeting, from the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set, on the label was heat embossed in gold. The label was cut using one of the Tasteful Labels Dies. I made the strawberry in the same way before punching it out using the Strawberry Builder Punch. The label had Stampin’ Dimensionals positioned on the bottom half of the back so that the flap could fit under the top half.

I used the Detailed Trio Punch to round off the corners of the flap. To finish off the label I added some gold Metallic Pearls.

Who would give this sweet treat to? Who, do you know, would like a strawberry milkshake chocolate?

Happy stamping.

PEACHY KEEN

Hello and welcome. If you’re new to my blog, I am so pleased that you have popped by. If you’ve popped by before, I appreciate that you have returned.

I am slowly catching up on my crafting and posts – and, hope to be ‘on time’ very soon (I try to schedule my posts at 9am each day).

Over the next few days I plan to share projects using the You’re a Peach Suite Collection.

YOU'RE A PEACH SUITE COLLECTION (ENGLISH)

For this project, I was inspired by my daughters’ love of Peach Iced Tea. So, I went looking for something that I could make a gift box for. Thank goodness for T2 products – I found their Packs a Peach tea bags. Now I must admit I thought the packaging wasn’t awful, but I also knew that I could create something just a little more special. The teabags are in super-cute triangular bags and there are 10 bags in the packet.

The box they come in is larger than the box I made.

I chose three core colours, that coordinate with the You’re a Peach Designer Series Paper, for this gift box – Calypus Coral, Pale Papaya and Pear Pizzazz. Then I added some Basic White and White Vellum. The gift box base measured 9-3/8″x 8-3/4″ and was scored in at 3″ along all four sides. The lid measured 8-3/8″x 7-3/4″ and was scored at 2-5/16″ along all four sides – this ensures the lid is just a little larger than the base so that it fits over the base easily.

The DSP for the lid was cut 2-1/4″ high for all four panels and then 3-1/4″ for the front and back and 2-5/8″ for each of the sides. The DSP for the base was cut 2-7/8″ high for all four panels and then 3-1/4″ for the front and back and 2-5/8″ for each of the sides.

I used one of the Scalloped Contour Dies to cut Pear Pizzazz and White Vellum layers for the box top. The die was too wide for the top but I was able to reposition the die to make the finished layer narrower. The Pear Pizzazz layer was then stamped with the leaves and stems image from the Sweet As A Peach Stamp Set. A few drops of Multipurpose Glue were placed on this layer before the vellum was attached. The glue was hidden as soon as the peaches and flowers were adhered onto the vellum, using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The flowers and peaches were stamped using both Calypso Coral (stamped off) and Pale Papaya. I cut five double leaves in Pear Pizzazz and attached them with Mini Glue Dots.

The sentiments were stamped in Pear Pizzazz and Calypso Coral. The ‘Thanks for being as’ was cut using a die from from the Peach Dies and the ‘sweet as a peach’ was cut using one of the Scalloped Contours Dies. The final touches included adding Clear Wink of Stella onto the peaches and flowers, and then adding some of the Pale Papaya 2021-2023 In Colour Jewels.

These are some of the products I used for this gift box. Which ones do you have on your wishlist?

Who would you give this peach tea gift box to?

Happy stamping.
