TODAY IS TUESDAY & IT’S TIME FOR SOME TIPS AND TECHNIQUES

Tomorrow I plan to share more, with you, about the new Memory Keeping products Stampin’ Up! has recently introduced.

Today I will be sharing a project that uses the new, white core Real Red Two-Tone Cardstock.

I wanted to make a card usingthis new, white-core cardstock and the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder.

I started by cutting a panel of the cardstock and then embossed it with the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder.

TIP: Use a sanding block to lift away some of the red colouring across the plaid embossed areas.

Then I manipulated the edges of the embossed panel to create a vintage effect.

TIP: Keep a pair of older, blunt Paper Snips to create a vintage-edge effect. All you need to do do is open the snips slightly and drag the scissors along the edge of the card. The more you do this, the more ‘eroded’ the edges look.

TIP: Use your Take Your Pick Tool, and its paper piercing end, to separate the corners of the card.

When I was happy, with the way I had created the vintaged effect of the embossed panel, I adhered it to a slightly larger Basic White panel.

Then I wrapped of length of white ribbon, from the Petal Pink & White Diagonal Trim Combo Pack, around these panels and tied it off in a trimmed knot.

The sentiment, from the Regal Flora Stamp Set, was stamped using Real Red ink and then cut using the largest coordinating dies.

I secured it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The card insert and back of the envelope had strips of the embossed Real Red card added to finish the card.

Finally, I added some gems from the Adhesive-backed Sparkle Gems to give the card some sparkle.

Tomorrow, I will share more information about the new Memory Keeping products from Stampin’ Up!.

Until then, happy stampng.

IT’S MONDAY & THAT MEANS IT IS TIME TO HIGHLIGHT SOME NEW STAMIN’ UP! PRODUCTS

This week I will be showcasing the REGAL WINTER SUITE COLLECTION (164040 – $153.50 AUD).

For my first project I have used one of the card templates from page 22 of the 2024 – 2025 Annual Catalogue. Find the template in the middle of the second row and you will see where I drew my inspiration.

My card is landscape, not portrait, and my central panel is smaller in scale.

This card is all about Blackberry Bliss.

After preparing the Blackberry Bliss cardbase, I chose two of the papers form the Regal Winter 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper pack.

I added a panel of the ‘mottled’ Blackberry Bliss DSP to the front of the card base.

Then I prepared a trio of thinner panels using Basic White card and slightly smaller floral and leaf DSP pieces.

I stamped the sentiment onto some Basic White card and then cut it with the largest of the Regal Flora Dies.

This sentiment panel was positioned on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Then I stamped the floral image and die cut it before layering it up with more Dimensionals.

I tied a bow, using the BLackberry Bliss & Gold Textured Ribbon, and attached it to the card with a Mini Glue Dot.

Some of the DSP was added to both the card insert and back of the envelope.

Finally I added some Blackberry Bliss dots, from the Adhesive-backed Transparent Dots, to the front of the card.

Tomorrow I want to share some TIPS & TECHNIQUES with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

TIME FOR A SATURDAY SHARE

My final Nests of Winter project is a Zigzag Fold card.

To create the zigzag card base I took a 12″ x 12″ piece of Early Espresso card and cut it along the diagonal from one 12″ corner across to 3″ on the opposite side.

Then I scored the card at 4″ and 8″.

I was able to use one sheet of the DSP to add three angled panels to both sides of the card.

TIP: When cutting these DSP panels make sure that you cut the angles in opposite directions. Look at the images, above and below, to see what I mean.

For the ‘front’ side of the card I added a piece of Basic White in the centre panel.

I also added the stamped and die cut greeting to the front panel, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

A second piece of Basic White was added to the back panel for more messages to be written.

The back of the envelope had DSP added to it.

Finally, I added some Blueberry Bushel gems from the Tinsel Gems Four Pack to the front of the card.

i also added a bow made from both Blueberry Bushel adn Garden Green Linen Thread.

Thanks for checking out my projects this week. I’m not sure what next week will bring, yet, but pop by Monday to find out.

Until then, happy stamping.
