HOW TO MAKE A GIFT BOX OF NOTE CARDS

One of the amaznig new stamp sets, available from January 7th next year, is SHADOWED SHAPES.

It is a simply stunning set of two images and two greetings – perfect for creating notecards.

For this project I used only one of the images and both greetings.

The project comprises a gift box and six cards.

The Granny Apple Green gift box measures 6 5/8″x 4 3/4″x 1 1/4″.

After constructing the box base and lid I decorated the lid with layers of Basic White card and DSP panels. I used the Marbled Elegance 12″x 12″ Specialty DSP and the Brights 6″x 6″ DSP.

I stamped the strawberry image and cut it using one of the Everyday Arches Dies. The berries were coloured using the dark Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blend Pen and finished with Clear Wink of Stella.

A Granny Apple Green arch was also cut and then adhered behind the stamped arch.

I stamped the greeting and used a die from the Beautiful Butterflies Dies.

Before attaching the arches to the front of the box with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I secured a length of White Woven Ribbon. The ribbon was able to be wrapped around the box and tied in a bow.

The six cards and envelopes I placed inside the gift box include two each of three colour combinations – Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade, Azure Afternoon and Melon Mambo, and Moody Mauve and Pebbled Path.

All cards were wrapped with white Baker’s Twine and tied in a bow.

Each card also had a ‘THANK YOU’ or ‘JUST A NOTE’ greeting stamped in a coordinating colour and was cut using the same Beautiful Butterflies Die.

The Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade cards.

The Azure Afternoon and Melon Mambo cards.

The Moody Mauve and Pebble Path cards.

I think this box of cards would make a wonderful gift.

I found that being able to use different colour combinations was a wonderful feature of this stamp set.

Tomorrow I have a fun fold card to share with you, using the soon to be released SIMPLE BIRTHDAY STAMP SET.

Until then, happy stamping.

WHITE ON WHITE BIRTHDAY CARD

The card that I want to share with you today uses two products that you can order from January 7th, 2025 – SIMPLE BIRTHDAY and STARSTRUCK EMBOSSING FOLDER.

I used a Basic Thick White cardbase and then embossed a Basic White panel, using the Starstruck Embossing folder, before adhering it to the base.

The birthday greeting was stamped, using Night of Navy, onto a piece of Basic White card. After securing some Night of Navy cardstock behind the stamped greeting I attached the panel to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the star image several times and fussy cut them before adding them to the card front, card insert and back of the envelope.

The WITH YOU IN MIND stamp set has so many possibilities and will be a great set to add to your crafting collection.

This stamp set is a Million Sales Achiever set, inspired by Julie Davison.

Tomorrow I have a 3D project to share with you,

Until then, happy stamping.

HOW TO USE A SMALL IMAGE TO CREATE A BACKGROUND

As I mentioned yesterday, this week I want to focus on stand-alone stamp sets from the upcoming January – April 2025 Mini Catalogue.

The stamp set I am using today is ONE MORE YEAR. It is a set that focuses on birthdays and is loads of fun.

The simple technique I am featuring today is how to use a small image to create a background layer for a card front.

The stamp set I have chosen has a small image of five starbursts – a bit like fireworks. I used it to stamp a Basic White panel using Petunia Pop ink.

For the rest of the card front, I stamped the birthday cake and coloured it using Stampin’ Blends Pens in Petunia Pop and Ivory. I also used my Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Marker to colour the candle flames.

I cut the cake and a Petunia Pop background layer using two of the dies from the Nested Essentials Dies.

These were then adhered together and added to the card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The greeting was stamped in Petunia Pop and die cut using the same set.

I stamped the little fireworks on the card insert and the back of the envelope.

Finally, I added some 2024-2026 In Colour Shimmer Gems for that little bit of bling.

Tomorrow I have a birthday card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.
