BACK ON TRACK WITH MY COLOUR INKSPIRATION DESIGN CREW PROJECTS

Well, at last I am back contributing the Colour INKspiration challenges and this one is for our 172nd challenge!

Today’s picture which has inspired our colour palette was chosen by Colour INKspiration Crew Member, Monica Formosa.

I hope that you are inspired to join the challenge.

As well as the chosen colour combination for #CI172, Peach Pie, Garden Green and Pebbled Path, you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Beige, Basic Black and metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’, ‘Bronze’ and ‘Natural Tones’ in the Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have the colours in our palette, feel free to use the closest Stampin’ Up! (or any other brand) substitute – Basic Grey instead of Pebbled Path for example.

For my project I chose one of the newly available stamp sets that have come across from Close to My Heart. The Home Stamp Set was one that really caught my eye.

The Pebble Path card base has panel of Garden Green paper from the Regals 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

I stamped the ‘is where the heart is’ onto a narrow piece of Peach Pie paper from 2023-2025 In Colour 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper. This was then positioned on the Garden Green panel using Stampin’ Dimensoinals.

The large ‘home’ was stamped twice. The first panel was glued directly to the panel. The second ‘home’ was coloured with the Garden Green pencil from the Watercolour Pencil pack 2 and ‘blended’ in with a Blender Pen. I fussy cut the three coloured letters and placed them over the corresponding letters, with dimensionals.

Three lengths of white Baker’s Twine, from the Essentials Pack, were coloured using the Dark Peach Pie and Light Pebble Path Stampin’ Blends. These were then wrapped around the panel and ties in a bow.

The house was stamped and coloured using both Light and Dark Blends Pens in Peach Pie and Pebble Path.

I used the Colour Lifter to to lighten the ‘glass’ in the windows. They then had Clear Wink of Stella painted on them.

After fussy cutting the house it was then added using dimensionals.

I added more dimensionals to the back of the front panel and placed it on the card base.

Three Pebble Path Dots, from the 2023-2025 In Colour Dots, were placed across the front.

The card insert and back of the envelope had more of the Peach Pie DSP added.

It has been wonderful to welcome Makers, from Close to My Heart, into Stampin’ Up! and a treat to be able to order CTMH products that have transitioned across to our online catalogue.

Tomorrow I will have a Global Design Project card to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

IT’S FRIDAY AND TIME FOR SOME FEATURES AND A FUN FOLD CARD

This week I have featured the Mediterranean Blooms Suite Collection in the projects that I have shared. It is such a lovely collection and, as I mentioned on Monday, it reminded me of Italy.

This suite collection includes the Citrus Blooms Bundle – the stamp set and coordinating dies, Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper, and Opal Rounds Assortment.

The Stamp Set includes 5 images – a single orange branch, a trio of oranges branch, two citrus blooms images and a fabulous geometric diamond image. The set also has four different greetings that combine two different fonts, one cursive and one in blocked capitals.

The die set has 15 dies, ranging from the large block shape and its coordinating leafy insert dies. Then there are the two citrus image dies, four leaf stems and four flowers. The last two dies cut three small flowers each.

My favourite in this Suite Collection is definitely the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Series Paper. This 12″x 12″ DSP is made up of 2 each of 6 double-sided designs – 12 sheets in total. One side of the DSP features the stunning citrus images and the other side has wonderful monochromatic blue designs, many of which resemble tile designs.

Last, but not least, are the Opal Rounds Assortment embellishments in Daffodil Delight, Night of Navy and White.

It was so easy to create this week’s projects because this Suite Collection is, in itself, an inspiration.

Today I have a Fun Fold Card to share. I’m calling it a Pop Up Double Z Card. I invite you to let me know if there is a more accurate name for it.

I will share the elements of the fun fold soon but will start with the front of the card.

The front of the card has three sections – the’base’, the 1 3/4″ vertical righthand panel and the 2″ horizontal panel on the bottom of the card.

Each of these sections, that have a Night of Navy base, have had a slightly smaller panels of Designer Series Paper added.

To embellish the card front I adhered a triple orange branch die cut image before adding the greeting.

The greeting was stamped in Pumpkin Pie and cut using one of the Perennai Postage Dies. Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the back of the die cut greeitng and positioned on the card front.

I coloured some Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels, using my Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Pen, and attached them to the card front.

Time to look inside the card –

This image shows what the card looks like when it is slightly opened.

When the card is fully opened you can see all the scored sections and DSP panels.

You can also see the pop up single orange image.

I love the way this DSP works together.

I added a panel of Basic White card to the back of the card and decorated it with a narrow strip of DSP. I used the same DSP to finish the back of the envelope.

The weekend begins tomorrow and I’m sure that I will have something to share.

Until then, happy stamping.

THURSDAY MEANS THAT IT IS TIME FOR A 3D PROJECT

I designed this 3D project so that I could die cut and adhere Garden Green leafy frames on each side of the box.

The box is a tall square measuring 5 1/4″ x 4″.

The pieces of Garden Green card had Adhesive Sheets attached before I die cut the leafy frame.

After preparing the base I added the frames and finished forming the box.

For the lid, I used the large outline die and cut a panel. Then I recut and shortened that panel by carefully moving the die and letting it ‘lock’ into place by matching up the small die cut holes. This created a great square die cut panel for the lid.

I cut a small hole in the lid and threaded a looped, knotted length of Night of Navy & Gold Glitter Ribbon through the hole.

The knotted end of the ribbon was secured in place with a die cut circle of Night of Navy card, Tear & Tape and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The front and top of the box were adorned with die cut orange images from one of the Designer Series Paper sheet. They were all attached using Stampin’ Dimensionals. On the lid, the orange die cut had a hole that was perfect for the ribbon to be threaded through it before being secured in place.

The front of the gift box had a stamped and Labeled with Love die cut greeting attached with dimensionals.

Finally, I coloured some of the white sequins from the Adhesive-backed Sequins Trio with Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blend Pen.

I am hoping to find some lemon or orange flavoured biscotti to pop into the gift box.

Join me tomorrow for a Fun Fold Card.

Until then, happy stamping.
