TUESDAY TIPS & TECHNIQUES

Each Tuesday I will share some tips and techniques to use with the featured products. The Bee Mine Suite gives us a chance to refine two step stamping.

The stamp set includes the body of the bee and then its stripes. Because the stamps are photopolymer, it is so much easier to accurately align the two images.

Yesterday’s card included a bee that only used the stripes and wings stamps. I stamped Tuxedo Black Memento Ink directly onto Daffodil Delight card before punching it out.

For today’s project I chose the two step technique. I started by stamping the stripes in Memento ink and then stamped each body in a different colour directly over the black image.

I cut Basic White card into 1 1/2″ strips for stamping the five bees, and their coordinating wings, for this card. This allowed me to pass the card directly under the bee in the punch without unnecessarliy cutting more card than needed. The bees were then assembled.

This card started with a Daffodil Delight card base and a piece of Poppy Parade floral Designer Series Paper.

The leftover piece of Basic white that I cut yesterday, using the Everyday Details Dies, was used on this card. I stamped the the bee’s trail and greeting.

Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to lift this panel up from the card front.

The bees were arranged and adhered to the card.

I added three small Daffodil Delight hearts, from the Adhesive-backed Hearts & Flowers embellishments, to the card.

I added a strip of the floral DSP to the card insert and onto the back flap of the envelope.

Tomorrow I have another card ready to share.

until then, happy stamping.

TIME FOR THE LATEST COLOUR INKSPIRATION CHALLENGE #138

The colours for this challenge are just soooooo gorgeous. What do you think?

May be an image of bird, nature and text that says '/sRATIN SPIRATION CHALLENGES #138 Daffodil Delight Granny Apple Green Tahitian Tide Highland Heather'

For my card I wanted to use some of the new products from the January – April Mini Catalogue and an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE product suite that is available to customers from March 1. Unfortunately, I think I used a retired embossing folder – oops.

EDIT – The embossing folder is a NEW one! It is one of the new Online Exclusive Products available from the Online Store now. This is one of three embossing folders that are part of the Basic 3D Embossing Folders (161598) – $53AUD.

I started by stamping the large heart image from the Country Bouquet Stamp Set and cutting them out using the coordinating Country Bouquet Punch.

After attaching some Adhesive Sheet to the back of a length of Granny Apple Green cardstock I cut the ‘dots and dashes’ design using the Irresistible Blooms Dies.

The backing from the adhesive sheet was pulled away from the cardstock so it could be secured on the Basic White cardstock. This piece was then embossed.

I layered the embossed card over a piece of Tahitian Tide and then secured it to the card front at an angle.

The hearts were thenpopped up on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Country Bouquet Stamp Set, was stamped and length of Tahitian Tide Metallic Woven Ribbon was looped behind it.

Make sure you head over to Facebook and the Colour INKspiration Challenge page to see the team projects. We hope you decide to join us in this challenge.

Until next time, happy stamping.

THE LAST OF THE SALE-A-BRATION PRODUCTS

The FREE products in the 2023 JANUARY – FEBRUARY SALE-A-BRATION BROCHURE are only available until the end of this month or as long as stocks last.

This project uses the last two products that I haven’t shared with you yet.

The first is the of these is the HOST SET.

Anytime you spend $500 or more, during Sale-a-bration, the exclusive host stamp set is included for FREE!

SCENIC GARDEN HOST CLING STAMP SET
SCENIC GARDEN CLING STAMP SET

This stamp set is perfect for creating a variety of peaceful scenes. Fortunately, there is a stamp set in the same brochure that only has sentiments. I thought they would work together so well.

The SENDING SUPPORT CLING STAMP SET covers a range of different situations that you would send a card for. I think the “SOME DAYS ARE harder THAN OTHERS” sentiment is especially versatile.

SENDING SUPPORT CLING STAMP SET (ENGLISH)

I chose a simple black and white palette for this card.

The park bench image from the SCENIC GARDEN STAMP SET was stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and my Stamparatus to create a crisp image.

Then I repeated the stamping process but using Versamark and black Basics Stampin’ Emboss™ Powders. After heat embossing the powder I used one of the Layering Circles Dies to cut the focal point for this card.

Between the two stamped images, I added a folded length of Black & White Gingham Ribbon.

The sentiment was also stamped, heat embossed, trimmed and popped up using Black Dimensionals.

The same park bench was stamped on the card insert and envelope.

Tomorrow I will have some news to share with you. Until then, happy stamping.
