COLOUR INKSPIRATION #141

I have had my card made and sitting on my desk for over a week and I still managed to post it a day late. Here I was thinking 2023 would be my year to get back on track – seems like it’s still a work in progress.

The colours for this challenge are so rich and elegant but you get to choose the 4th colour.

To get your creative ideas flowing, make sure you check out the Crew’s Project in the CI#141 Album – https://www.facebook.com/media/set/…

May be art of furniture and text that says '#141 Very Vanilla Gold Basic Black 1 retiring 2021-23 In Color COLOUR COLOUR SPIRATION CHALLENGES'

The retiring 2021 – 2023 In Colour I chose was Evening Evergreen.

I kept the colours rich and elegant and selected the Seaside Bay Bundle to fit in with that.

The On Line Exclusive Basic 3D Embossing Folders has three different designs. I used the top left hand design to emboss a panel of Evening Evergreen card.

BASICS 3D EMBOSSING FOLDERS

The Distressed Gold Specialty Paper was perfect for this card. I used StazOn to stamp the greeting.

The gold pearl shell stamped using Versamark and then I heat set the Gold Metallic Embossing Power. For the Basic Black and Evening Evergreen shells, I stamped the image onto Very Vanilla card and then stamped the image again in Versamark. Clear Embossing Powder was then heat set on each to achieve the same glossy appearance.

Sadly, the Stamparatus is retiring soon. I will be keeping mine because it is so handy!

I used it as well for the central shell becuase I wanted to stamp the image on my Silicon Mat to reverse the image.

The three pearls were cut from a piece of Pearlescent Specialty Paper.

After all the paper and image elements were layered on the card front, I popped a green and black stitched rectangle behind the greeting layer that had three looks of gold twine secured behind it.

STARRY, STARRY NIGHT

This design from the ENJOY THE JOURNEY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER immediately reminded me of the song “Vincent” by Don McLean.

I attached ADHESIVE SHEET to the back of DISTRESSED GOLD 12″x 12″ SPECIALTY PAPER and used the ALPHABET A LA MODE DIES and the GIVE IT A WHIRL DIES to cut the letters and stars for the card front.

The DSP was layered onto a Basic White Matte and the Night of Navy card base.

I took a length of gold SIMPLY ELEGANT TRIM and tied a multi-loop bow.

Tomorrow I have a 3D project to share. Until then, happy stamping.

TAKING THE ENJOY THE JOURNEY PAPER FOR A DIFFERENT SPIN

When I saw this sheet of Disgner Series Paper I knew it would be ideal for a feminine card.

I teamed the ENJOY THE JOURNEY DSP with the CONVERSATION BUBBLES BUNDLE for this project.

After adding the conversation bubble frames to the card front, I cut a bunch of flowers and attached them. The PETAL PARK BUILDER PUNCH was used to cut the flowers.

When the bubble frames are cut the dies also leave an embossed finish.

The LOOSE FLOWER FLOURISHES were a perfect match for the card.

I still have two more GREATEST JOURNEY projects to share with you. So until then, happy stamping.
