TUESDAY MEANS THAT IT’S TIME FOR SOME TIPS & TECHNIQUES INSPIRATION

Today’s card, using the new products associated with the Brayering & Layering page of the new January – April Mini Catalogue, features heat embossing and die cutting. Tomorrow, I will share some brayering tips and techniques.

I chose a stunning gold foil paper design from the Most Adored 12″ x 12″ Specialty DSP to use with this project.

You can see the paper on the top row, of the image above, third from the left – a stunning marbled, gold design.

After adhering the DSP panel to the front of the card I created the die cut and heat embossed elements.

I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut the four Basic White squares for this card. A panel of Adhesive Sheets was attached to the back of piece of Gold Foil and then I die cut the three hearts. After peeling the backing away, I secured the hearts to the squares.

For the 4th square, I stamped the greeting using Versamark and then sprinkled gold embossing powder. Using my Heat Tool, I set the gold powder.

I took a length of gold Simply Elegant Trim to create and secure loops behind the greeting panel.

All of these squares had Stampin’ Dimensionals positioned on the back before being placed on the card front.

Tomorrow, I have a very different looking card for you. It is my card for the first 2024 Colour INKspiration Challenge #158.

Until then, happy stamping.

This week’s projects all feature the amazing Brayering & Layering collection of new products.

The Adoring Hearts Bundle is simply stunning.

The Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Foldler and coordinating die is going to be so versatile!

This collection is all about using the new Stampin’ Brayer and layering elements in all of your projects.

My first project share is this card.

I chose to use a Flirty Flamingo card base and this checked paper design from the FREE DPS pack.

Using a 6″ x 6″ piece of Real Red card stock and placed it inside the Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder and coordinating multiple hearts die.

After adhering the DSP to the card base, I positioned the six hearts on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I die cut the curved banner before stamping the greeting in Flirty Flamingo.

The card insert and envelope each had a spare embossed and die cut heart attached.

Finally, I coloured some small white Classic Matte Dots with a dark Real Red Stampin’ Blend.

Tomorrow I have a stunning gold card to share with you.

IT’S FRIDAY – TIME FOR FEATURES & A FUN FOLD CARD

Each Friday I will describing the features of the products I have focused on during the week.

The Bee My Valentine Stamp Set includes 24 photopolymer stamps – 17 images and 7 greetings.

There are four stamps that can be used for two step stamping – the bee body and the wings – and being photopolymer means it is so much easier to align the images when stamping. The remaining images can be used to enhance the bee image or to use to create floral elements.

The 7 greetings are designed with two different fonts. Some of these greetings have fun word play, such as ‘bee mine’. The great thing about these greetings is that they can be used for a range of occasions.

Some other features of this suite include the coordinating Bee Builder Punch (cut a strip of card stock to 1 3/8″ and you can feed it into the tail end of the bee body area of the punch, turn it around and create a ‘banner’ for greetings).

The Bee Mine Designer Series Paper 12 different designs and 12 sheets in total. these designs are also great for a variety of occasions.

And, as far as embellishments go, the Adhesive-backed Hearts & Flowers and Sweet Sorbet 1/4″ Bordered Ribbon are perfect for any project.

Finally, the Square Pillow Boxes are a new 3D stampable gift box. I haven’t featured them this week, but I will soon.

Now, for today’s project!

I actually made this card in the lead up to the OnStage @ Home event from a little while ago but it’s perfect to share here today.

This is my interpretation of a Bridge Fold Card.

The Thick Basic White card base measured 9 1/4″ x 4 1/2″. It was scored at 1 1/2″, 3″, 6 1/4″ and 7 3/4″.

I cut several panels of DSP to the card base panels – four measuring 1 3/8″ x 4 3/8″ and one measuring 3 1/8″ x 4 3/8″. If you take care when cutting the DSP the pattern will align perfectly across the card.

The ‘bridge’ piece measures 6 1/4″ x 1 1/4″ and is scored 1 1/2″ in from each side.

I stamped the honeycomb, using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, several times and fussy cut them all. They were then added to the ‘bridge’ piece with Multipurpose Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped, punched and assembled three bees. Two were attached, with dimensionals, to the two side panels.

A length of white Baker’s Twine was threaded into the centre space of the card – I made a small hole on each side, threaded the twine through, secured it with adhesive and a small circle of cardstock.

The third bee was secured to the twine, so that it would ‘fly’ in the space.

The greeting was stamped and punched, using the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch, before being adhered behind the bridge panel.

I fussy cut some of the honey jars, from the DSP, and added them to the bridge panel using dimensionals. Some black Baker’s Twine was tied into bows and added to the jars.

Well, that is my first week of creations for 2024. I hope that you have liked what you have seen. Over the next few weeks, my posts will expand and evolve. If there is anything you would like to see, please let me know.

Until then, happy stamping.
