STEP IT UP SUNDAY – TAKING A CARD DESIGN TO ANOTHER LEVEL

For these cards, I am still featuring the New Horizons Suite Collection and adding extra layers and elements to each of them.

For this card, I stamped the sentiment in an additional colour and used the Label Me Fancy Punch to punch it out. I attached two lengths of the Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon under the label. Then it was popped up on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The rest of the card is the same as the second card from yesterday.

I used three 1″ strips of the Designer Series Paper for the front of this card. The trees and birds have been used again.

The sentiment was stamped and punched in the same way as before, and with another colour added. I also used some Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon and wrapped it under the label.

I also added some 2021 – 2023 In Colour Jewels to embellish the card.

This card is very similar to the previous one. The main difference is the way I stamped the trees and birds. I used my Stamparatus for this.

The images were stamped on the Basic White card first. Then I attached the three strips of DSP and stamped the iages again. This ensured that the images were fully stamped, without the gaps that are left if you just stamp directly on the card and DSP.

This card has a two tiered DSP front. The left panel has the trees stamped on it twice and the right panel has the birds stamped on it. The right hand side was been popped using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

After the sentiment was stamped and punched, I took a length of white baker’s twine, from the Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack, and separated all the strands. These were then looped under the label and secured in place. I added some dimensionals and popped it on the front of the card.

This is the last card today. I scored the front of the notecard in half and folded it back to the left. Then I cut 1-1/4″ off a second notecard and scored it it at 1-3/4″, 3-1/2″ and 5-1/4″. I glued this piece to the first card to create a semi-pinwheel card.

I stamped on the three 1-3/4″ strips of DSP to the card and then attached them to the panels, as you can see.

The Horizon Dies were used to cut the fences and huts. I added them to the card to create this fabulous scene.

After the sentiment was stamped and punched, I added some of the 2021 – 2023 In Colour Jewels to complete the card.

Stepped up cards use more colours, tools, embellishments and layers.

From simple to more complex cards, and everything in between, card making is so much fun. The creating and creative processes are so fulfilling.

Tomorrow I will have some scrapbooking to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

IT’S SIMPLY TIME TO MAKE SOME #SIMPLESTAMPING CARDS

It is Saturday and that means #simplestamping.

It’s as if I slept in today because I am late sharing my projects today.

This week I am featuring the New Horizons Suite Collection.

NEW HORIZONS SUITE COLLECTION (ENGLISH)

Today’s cards a super, quick and easy.

As you can see, this card was made using just stamps, ink and paper. The trees and birds images are from the On the Horizon Stamp Set, as is the sentiment.

I have also stamped the trees on the envelope and inside the notecard. This is such a clean and simple card.

For the second card, I added a strip of the New Horizons 6″x 6″ Designer Series Paper.

There’s not much else to say about these cards. Now I’m off to step these cards up for tomorrow’s post.

Until then, happy stamping.

LET’S MAKE A FUN FOLD CARD

For my Fun Fold Card today, I decided to make a Criss Cross Card. This is the last project featuring the Hey Sports Fan Suite Collection for this week. Tomorrow, I will have a new suite to showcase.

This makes a great birthday invitation. I love the way all the colours and die cut pieces make this so colourful – perfect for an invitation.

The criss cross is very easy to create and I will have a Youtube Video Tutorial to share soon.

I cut the triangular Designer Series Paper to add to the cross over flaps. Tear & Tape Adhesive was used to seal the bottom of the card.

The large ‘You’re Invited” ticket was cut from one of the DSP sheets. I tore the ‘Let’s Get Together & Celebrate’ stub from the top section. All the tickets were then attached to the card front.

The invitation insert was cut using the second largest Stitched Rectangle Dies.

I cut three of the long, small tickets strips in Bumblebee, Night of Navy and Poppy Parade. Two tickets, in all three colours, were torn of and attached to the top corner of the insert. This created a useful way to pull the insert out.

Three tickets , in each of the colours, were then staggered in the opposite corner.

The trio of stars and birthday greeting were stamped on the insert.

The final touch was to add some of the Resin Stars Embellishments to the card front.

Although this collection has a strong baseball theme, this week I was able to make projects that had a more general sporting theme. Baseball is played in Australia but it does not have as a high a profile as other sports.

Tomorrow I will bring a new product collection to feature for the rest of the week.

Until then, happy stamping.
