TRY THIS TUESDAY TECHNIQUE TODAY

Today I have a quilt inspired technique to share with you. It is a simple variation of a Quilt Technique.

I cut 1″ strips of 4 different designs from the Design a Daydream 12″x 12″ DSP and adhered them onto a piece of 5-5/8″x 4″ Old Olive cardstock leaving a thin gap between each piece.

The longer pieces were laid down first, leaving small areas at each end. These areas were then filled with the DSP running at a 90 degree angle.

The sentiment was stamped in Old Olive and cut using one of the Stylish Shapes Dies. There are four banner dies in this set to choose from.

I used the Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend pen to colour the White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon before creating the triple bow.

The final step was to colour some Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels with the same alcolhol ink pen.

Tomorrow is the day I share any challenge or blog hop projects with you. It will be a Global Design Project share tomorrow, so visit me to see what I created.

Until then, happy stamping.

MEMORIES ON A MONDAY

Each Monday I aim to share a scrapbook layout with you. I have missed a couple but am back on track today with this one.

I have chosen to ‘bundle’ the Big Hooray Stamp Set and the Design a Daydream 12″x 12″ Designer Series Paper. A few die sets will also be used throughout the week.

Look what we have back! Stampin’ Up!® have introduced an Embossing Additions Tool Kit. The small Powder Pal tray is a welcome return, as is the Embossing Buddy™. There is now a pair of Crafting Scissors and a Crafting Brush.

To be honest, I have no idea what photos I am going to place on this page but I am confident that these papers, greeting and layout will suit loads of different occasions.

I used one of the circles from the Stylish Shapes Dies to cut out several ‘fans’ from one of the pieces of DSP.

So the new Embossing Kit came in handy for heat embossing the greeting. I used the white powder from the Basics Stampin’ Emboss™ Powders which looks great on the Blackberry Bliss cardstock.

Hooray – another MEmories on Mnday completed.

Tomorrow I have a new Technique Tuesday project to share.

Until then, happy stamping.

STEP IT UP SUNDAY

I have three more cards today using the same products as yesterday, plus a few more to step the designs up.

Here is the first card.

For this card I added another DSP design. The DSP was cut into three panels and spread across a piece of Old Olive catdstock. Then I added a piece of the same DSP I used on yesterday’s cards.

Before adhering this piece of card to the front of the note card, I wrapped and secured a length of Petal Pink Soft Polyester Ribbon around it.

The greeting was stamped in Petal Pink and then cut using one of the Stylish Shapes Dies.

For this card, I used another one of the DSP designs and attached it to a piece of Old Olive cardstock.

A length of Old Olive ribbon, from the Twill Ribbon Combo Pack, was attached to the cardstock and a knot tied and trimmed.

I used one of large circle dies, from the Stylish Shaoes Dies, to cut a piece of DSP. It was popped up on the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The greeting was stamped and cut with another die from the same set.

Finally, I coloured some Iridescent Rhinestones with the Dark Old Olive Blends pen.

Here is the last card for today.

The Blackberry Bliss panel had banner cut out before it was embossed with one of the Elegant Eucalyptus 3D Embossing Folders.

I stamped the greeting onto a piece of DSP. Then I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to layer the embossed card up from the DSP. These layers were then adhered to the note card.

I cut some of the long banners, from the Stylish Shapes Dies set, to create the design across the top of the card.

I coloured some of the Iridescent Rhinestones with the Dark Old Olive Blends pen. The last thing I did was tie a tiny bow.

I really like the stitched detailing in the Stylish Shapes Dies.

Tomorrow is Monday and I will be back with a scrap layout to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.
