Hello everyone! I am so pleased that each of you have popped by for today’s project.
Today I’m sharing my project for this week’s Global Design Project theme challenge – #GDP296. I am actually a few days earlier than I would normally be. I am trying to schedule some posts in advance because my sister is coming to visit for a few days. I am looking forward to seeing her and sharing time together (but, this means that I need to convert my crafting area into the visitor’s bedroom).
CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit
Our brief to CASE a project is that we can take what we like from the design and make it our own. It might be the stamp set – the colors, the layout, the theme, the images – whatever we like that has inspired us to make a card of yur own.
Here is the project this week that we was CASEing this week:
For my project, I have chosen to copy the general layout components – a strip of pieced elements down the left hand side, direct stamping onto the main area of the card front, a stamped sentiment and some embellishments.
I used the Elegantly Said Bunde for my GDP inspired project. Using my Stamparatus and Jet Black StazOn, I was able to stamp a strong black image of the largest stamp in the set. I used a piece of gold textured brushed metallic paper from the Gold & Rose 6″x 6″ Metallic Specialty Paper. This stamped piece of gold paper was attached to the right hand side of a Basic Black card base.
I punched three Elegant Tag pieces in the same gold specialty paper and trimmed them down to be used along the left edge of the card. The sentiment was stamped in the same way, using the Stamparatus and Jet Black StazOn, before being trimmed down and popped up on Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added some gold Metallic Pearls to the card front. Finally, I stamped the same large filigree styled image on the card insert and envelope.
I think will make a very elegant wedding or anniversary card. What do you think?
So, here are the main products I used in this card. I haven’t used the Rose Gold Specialty Paper yet but it does look gorgeous. I’m sure that I will have a project to share with you soon that uses it.
Do you have someone that you would give this card to? Wedding or anniversary?
Happy stampin.
