Hello and welcome! I am so pleased that you popped by today to see my latest project.
Rob (my darling husband of almost 36 years) and I have been chatting about taking a few weeks, later in the year, to go on a driving holiday through New South Wales and Victoria. It will be our ‘staycation’ for 2021. Inspired by this thought of being able to enjoy some travel, I knew that it was time to use the new Sweet Farewell Stamp Set.
I started by randomly stamping the suitcase and camera images, onto a piece of Basic White cardstock, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Then I chose a variety of Stampin’ Blends to colour the images – Balmy Blue, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Granny Apple Gree, Night of Navy, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie and Smoky Slate.
This stamped and coloured layer was adhered to a Night of Navy card base. I stamped the sentiments, in Night of Navy, before using one of the new Tailor Made Tags dies to cut each of them. Lengths of (soon to retire) Night of Navy and White Twine were tied through the holes of each tag. I overlapped them, as shown, before using Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop them up on the card front. The lengths of twine from each tag were then tied in a knot and trimmed.
I added some of the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels for a touch of shiny bling. If you have been looking at my different projects long enough you will know that I typically finish my cards by stamping an image onto the card insert and envelope. For this card, the camera was perfect for this final step.
As I mentioned before – I used quite a few Stampin’ Blends for this card. There is nothing more soothing than time spent colouring.
How do you like my new background? I have discovered a very clever app that removes the background from my photos and then I can add in one of the images the app includes – like this textured concrete image. It is so quick and easy to use.
Who else has travel plans underway? Where are you headed off to? I may need to repeat this stamping and make a travel planner for later in the year.
Happy stamping.
