TODAY IS TUESDAY & IT’S TIME FOR SOME TIPS AND TECHNIQUES

I think that one of the best tips that I can ever share is:

TIP: Use any of the Stampin’ Up! catalogues as a source of inspiration. The concept artist team, at Stampin’ Up!, are SO creative and their ideas can be found on every page of every catalogue.

my project today was inspired by one of the 22 card templates that can be found on page 22 of the 2024 -2025 Annual Catalogue.

For today’s card, I was inspired by the template from the second row and second from the left.

I knew that I could use the amazing, new White Core Two-Tone Cardstock to easily tear the card and create a really effective white torn edge.

After preparing the Early Espresso cardbase, I added a panel of the Designer Series Paper.

Then I cut strips of the new White Core, Two-tone Card and began to tear away the edges to create the layers you can see. The layers were adhered together and then added to the bottom ot the DSP layer.

I used two the dies form the Nested Essentials Dies to cut the two banner elements that I added to the top, right-hand corner of the card.

Before adding these to the card front, I coloured a length of Iridescent Striped Ribbon using the Light Pumpkin Pie Blends pen. I cut it in half and looped it under the banner pieces.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the banner pieces to the card front.

To decorate the card front, I added three of the die cut flowers from the Frames & Flowers pack.

I attached some of the DSP to the card insert and back of the envelope.

Finally, I coloured some fo the Iridescent Basic Pearls Jewels with the Light Pumpkin Pie Blends pen.

Tomorrow I have a new project to share with you.

Until then, happy stamping.

IT’S MONDAY & THAT MEANS IT IS TIME TO HIGHLIGHT SOME STAMIN’ UP! PRODUCTS

This week I will be featuring the FRAMES & FLOWERS SPECIALTY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER.

My first project is a home decor piece.

On a recent trip to Ikea, I stocked up on shadow box frames.

The frame measures 14 1/2″ x 14 1/2″ and the internal decorated section is 9″ x 9″.

I started with a Pretty Peacock card base and then added a panel of the Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock DSP. This was followed by a DSP panel of Petal Pink and Pumpkin Pie. The final colour panel was the slightly mottled Lost Lagoon paper.

Before building up the design in the centre of the frame, I added two more leaf and floral elements to the top and bottom of the white matte layer.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the two die-cut corner pieces and then positioned on them on diagonal corners.

Then I added one of the ‘square’ floral frames in the centre of the panel.

Using the Humble Home Stamp Set, I stamped a Pumpkin Pie house with an Early Espresso roof, door and windows. Then I punched this house out and placed it over the floral panel.

I added Adhesive Sheets to a piece of Pretty Peacock card and die cut the letters for the “HOME SWEET HOME” sentiment.

To finish this decor project, I added a punched heart to the house and Clear Wink of Stella to the flowers in the die-cut elements.

Finally, I addedsome of the small Pretty Peacock gems from the Blooming Pearls pack.

I hope that you like my decor project as much as I do.

Tomorrow I have a great card to share with you that was inspired by one of card layouts from page 22 of the 2024 – 2025 Annual Catalogue and the new white core Two Tone Scrapbooking card.

Until then, happy stamping.

The coordinating Regal FLora Dies have 7 dies – 5 coordinating floral/leaf dies, 1 multiple floral die and 1 panel die that cuts two pieces.

To coordinate with the Regal Flora Bundle there is the Regal Winter 12″ x 12″ DSP pack. It comprises 2 eacg of 6 double sided designs.

There is also an additional 12″ x 12″ paper collection – Regal Distressed PatternsSpecialty DSP. It has 2 each of three single sided, gold foil designs.

To finish projects, using this suite, there is the Blackberry Bliss & Gold 1/2″ Textured Ribbon and Regal Foiled Adhesive-backed Dots.

There is plenty to chhose from with this suite collection and no end to the creative possibilities they bring.

My Friday Fun Fold card was inspired by Susan Campfield. It is a Charming Channel Pop Up card.

My Pretty Peacock cardbase measures 8 1/4″ x 5 3/4″, scored at 4 1/8″.

For the card front, I attached a Basic White panel and then a smaller DSP panel.

The greeting was stamped, in Pretty Peacock on Basic White card, before being cut using the shaped panel die from the REgal Winter Dies pack.

The stamped panel was attached to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Finally, I added some Pretty Peacocok gems from the Petal Pink & Pretty Peacock Foiled Gems pack.

The scored insert panel measures 10″ x 5 5/8″ and was scored at 2″, 2 3/4″, 3 1/2″, 4 1/4″, 5 3/4″, 6 1/2″, 7 1/4″ and 8″.

Each of the scored panels then had DSP panels added to them.

The Basic White card insert was stamped and the back of the envelope was stamped as well.

I’m not yet sure what I will have to share with you over the weekend.

Untl then, happy stamping.
