I love Fun Fold Friday – because I am learning how to make so many more cards than I knew existed!
This is the first time that I have made a Bay Window Card. Fortunatley, I found lots of information online and I adapted what I found to suit my Australian measurements.
I started with a card base, measuring 11-1/2″x 4-1/8″. Then I scored along the 11-1/2″ side at 1/2″, 1-3/4″, 4″ and 5-1/4″.
After scoring the front of the card, I cut panels of DSP to fill the scored spaces.
For the cenre front panel, I cut a piece of Basic White cardstock and some DSP.
Then I stamped the sentiment on to a piece of Basic White cardstock, before punching it out with the Lasting Label Punch. I used a Sponge Dauber to add some colour to the outer edges of the punched layer.
Each of the front, side panels had DSP strips added.
For the anchor point, holding the ‘bat window’ in place, I used the Lasting Label Punch to punch and then trim a piece of Soft Succulent cardstock. After it was positioned to the right of the “bay window”, it created a perfect anchor point for the card front. Once in place, I added one of the embossed and die cut leaves from the Twigs & Brigs Dies.
To finish the card, I added some Pale Papaya Opal Rounds to the card front.
When the right-hand side of the card front tucks in, under the partial label and leaf shape to the right, the Bay view card is evident.
Inside the card, there is a Basic White panel for personal greetings to be left.
This is such an amazing Fun Fold card to create. I love it when I create cards using techniques and folds that I haven’t used before.
So – Fun Fold Friday is done and dusted!
Tomorrow and a new week begins. I’m not sure which bundle or suite I will feature yet. So, check back in tomorrow to see what I have chosen!
Until then, happy stamping.
